The commercials ruined quite a few bits, but the movie managed to be very funny despite that. And I definitely did not expect that scene (you know); it was one of the most outrageously hilarious things I had ever seen.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

My sides hurt laughing. The movie, although crude, crass, and low class, was still funny. Funny in both irony (Borat hates Jews, he happens to come across a nice elderly Jewish couple, you fear for them all) and in the unexpected sense (the two mean getting it on...). There was a lot of scenes where I just felt bad for some of the people who didn't know they were getting into this movie (antique store owner) and how poorly Borat treated them, but overall it just makes it funnier.

I should say first: It's important to have a crowd with you in the theatre who is open-minded and won't get all pissy when they see and hear a lot of these jokes. There's a LOT of indirect, subtle insults coming at you non-stop - some very direct, hilarious insults.

When the audience is laughing along WITH you, it's great. When they show no sense of humor toward this brand of comedy, it's really a drag.

Anyways, I thought the movie was among the most hilarious I've seen. You laugh NON-STOP, and its really not forced laughter. The plot, albeit shallow and silly, is hardly even applicable to the underlying point.

The laughter never gets stale and everything is constantly staying fresh. I was a little worried about what Cohen does usually - same old schtick - but he proved me wrong.

I was so pleased with this film. I am amazed at how good it was.

I liked it a lot. That said, it's not beyond criticism. It was full of brilliant slapstick and dickjokes, but... that's about it. I expected more wit and social commentary. Other than that, it was great.

One word to describe this movie is "Wow"
As in "wow this movie sucked"
There was so much hype in this movie I felt I had to see it even though the commercials alone were a big turn off. Tuns out the movie was annoying and nothing really funny. "Oh look my sister, Let me kiss her har har now let us fight naked"
it all felt too immature and tiring this kind of "tom green" sort of sketches isn't funny anymore. I enjoy immature things as much as the next child but this movie was just so annoying.

Thank Jebus someone else hated this movie as much as I did. I was trying to think of what this reminded me of, TOM GREEN is perfect! It had a few 'haha' parts, but nothing overly gut-bustingly funny. Hype drove this movie to where it is. This movie offers nothing more to the audience than an outlet for crude and often illogical humour, for which I think many people crave for. The only problem is, it is not even remotely structured into any kind of Academy Award-winning film. Now, Clerks 2,...there is a fucking funny movie.

I laughed and laughed and laughed! Definately the funniest movie I have seen in a while, my favourite scene was when he was learning how to drive. Non-stop humour!

I don't know how this snuck by with a mere 14A in Cdn theatres, but after seeing this yesterday, I was howling! Well, except for the clearly nude parts which were totally shocking, not usually getting a kick out crude humour. I flinched the first time, and then I turned away during the 5 minute scene *shudder*

My favourite part was when he made the joke about his retarded sister. Oh man! "You will NEVER get this!" The only thing that came close to that for me was the part with the Christians toward the end. The whole thing was a refreshing kind of hilarious that you don't see excessively, especially in "normal" movies.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This is by far the sexiest film I ever seen, it was quite hilarious as well. My mates and I have been waiting 8 months to see this film and finally we got round to seeing it on Saturday. I just can't wait till the Bruno film comes out.

Good to see Borat doing so well on the other side of the pond. He has always been a big hit with the brits.

Overall, I it was more shocking than funny, it had its moments but I was kinda disappointed. The tv series has way more laughs with being so out there.

Best part for me was the dinner table seen, it was too funny, the joke about the wife, toilet then the prostitute was too much. I really liked how they jumped from fooling the public to continuing the movie plot (college guys). Oh and the wait in the elevator lol.

Lol was Pamela in on it, or was that for real!?!

My brother and I watched in in rental just last night - it was HILARIOUS. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard - so hard I was crying. The movie was a bit flat and obvious at times, but the good scenes more than make up for it. Killer. I'm buying it tonight.

It was funny the first time I saw it, but it has absolutly no re-watch value for me.

I don't know.
I've seen it 3 times so far and I still find myself laughing at the funnier parts. The deleted scenes were funnier to me than the main movie though, probably because it was the first time I watched them.

I sort of felt the same way about the movie. I liked the Borat skits on Da Ali G show more (his British stuff that I've seen on youtube was kinda funny too, but the laugh track or audience laughter kinda killed some of the humor for me). While the movie had my belly aching for a while after the movie had ended, I would've preferred more of the interviews over the crappy storyline.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
