Heh I guess I "accidentally" ran into the SUPER enemy in Sochen Cave Palace which seems to have like 10,000,000 HP or something like that, of course, I died immediately O_o

Spent the last two days with hunting, I guess I finished like 15 or 18 hunts so far. It's nice for leveling up and collecting LPs, too

In the fortress town [I forget what it's called, starts with N] just outside of Rabanastre, there's two guards blocking the way to the Highwaste. Go up and listen to them talk, then hop on a Chocobo and approach them again. This will let you enter the Highwastes, and on a Chocobo as well. So you're safe from mobs.
The guide mentions the Golden Amulets can be bought in Mt. ??? (not there yet, not sure of the name) and Rabanastre Lowtown (from the traveling merchaint). Now I'm not sure about the later, but either way I would like to get Golden Amulets for my party as soon as possible. I'm currently right after obtaining all characters (traveling to Tomb of Raithwall). When will I be able to branch off and buy them? And from where?

Thanks!!

Lowtown doesn't have them so the guide is wrong and you won't reach the Mount for a considerable amount of time if you're heading to Raithwall's Tomb.

I'm heading to the Mt now after taking out all of Centurio's Elite Marks and some Lvl II posts along with discovering the cave in the Westersand that had some narly enemies and a hidden esper that raped the majority of my party before I got out of there. I completely forgot about the medicine sidequest so I may have to venture back up there. Oh and the Garif's are fawking awesome.

I haven't had much time to play FFXII though because my copy was wrecked so I took it back to EBgames on Wednesday, exchanged it for another copy that worked and then last played it on Thursday as a member of the family took gravely ill and passed away on Friday.

Sorry about your loss Simo.

So the Golden Amulet can only be obtained in the Mt. and no where else?

It can be obtained in Mt. Bur-Omisace. I don't know any other place where to get it, at least.

I'm about to get 3 quickenings for all my guys (18 in all) just after the events of Eruyt village. Would this be considered pretty quick or just about the right timing to unlock all 3?

My guys range from Level 20 (Vaan, I don't like using him in my party) to 27 (Balthier, Ashe, Basch) which top about 2000 HP.

I ventured down into the Zenthern caves or whatever you call it, and got my ass handed to me by the first dude, some monster that looks like a cross between a unicorn and a sleipnir.

go to nalbina and go south until u can enter the estersand then head to the right and u see two guards, talk to them and then go get a chocobo (it costs 800 gil) then ride the chocobo to the two guards and one wil get scared and run and the other will follow, then u can enter the estersand. And keep going north until u enter a place with a save crystal, and thats where you buy the amulets

Ok, trying to fight the Lindwyrm mob in Tchita Uplands, but it only comes out in cloudy, not rainy, weather. But every time I zone in and out between the dotted blue line, it still stays nice and sunny, wtf?! lol. Should I just keep at it?

First of all, you have to exit the Uplands completely (and then enter again) for the weather to be able to change. It can take quite a few tries, but eventually it will change.

Just wanted to throw out that I adore FFXII, but I'm a little frustrated with how long it's taking me to get to Archades. The walk from Nalbina to the Imperial Capital is really making me tear my hair out. I'm almost there (I hope), but the story better be really worth it once I get there - which I'm sure it will. This is what keeps me going. @_@

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I hate to quote such an old post, but I was wondering if the Snake skin listed above is also needed to obtain the esper Zalera. If so, then I'm afraid I'd have to start over.

According to the guide the Snakeskin is not needed to get the Esper Zalera at all. So don't worry.

you can get double licence point equipment first in the golmore jungle in eruyt village from the moogle to the right of the entry way for 4500 gil

if you need to raise gil or licence points to wear or buy the item i recommend going to entrance of the jungle killing the 10 panthers run out of forest *do not select the save crystal* go to the ozmone plains and count to 5 then run back and kill them again. The drop coeurl pelts more frequently when u have a higher chain and it makes everything alot easier. each bellt is 500 gil and you sould have no problems killing these guys just have ur tanks have a gambit of cura when life is under 50% and keep choping away
also you get 300exp per panther i got to level 35 hanging over here.!?

i was able to get around 90k gil 13 levels apiece for my main 3 and 600 licence points a person in 1-2hours overall

this is a must do for people who rushed through beining of game and are below level 30.

also some realy helpful hints-
when facing the bomb boss in selikawood silence it fast - really helps or u wont kill him

dont buy anything on your way to archades - everyplace you stop at has better armour and wepons then the place before it and its best to wait till u get to archades b4 you buy much of anything, i wish i would have known this sooner, there is no need to buy anything till archades and you will thank me i bought new stuff at each place and then sold old stuff at half cost ... i lost a lot of money and time but you dont have too

Double Post:
note on mist knack attacks
for the best attack try to use the same level as many times as possible
3 or more x level 1 = pyroclasm
6 or more x level 1 = ... forgot ...
4 or more x level 2 = illuminesence
6 or more x level 2 = arc blast
5 or more x level 3 = white out
this is what i gatered so far im just not 100% sure
the ultimate attack is like 7 or more level 3 combo

im not sure if the levels have to be in a row im not sure u can find out for your self

oh 1 thing for my ego
16 mist knack combo = white out 50k damage one hit kill on the ring wyrm in hunt for whm the wyrm tolls level 3 hunt
oh yeah

dont post hate saying u did better
me doing this gave meaning to 4 hours of straight leveling

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Hey Spatula, the second time around I cleaned clocks around you-know-who.

Fight Start -> Vaan's Quickening twice, then Balthier, Fran, and Balthier again and then finally switch in Ashe for the killing blow with the Esper. I felt so much better when it was over.

I decided to try and get a few marks but the first one requires me to find this girl who is normally in the nomad villiage in the Giza Plains, but since its rainy season now, I have no clue as to where she is. Oh her name is Dania btw.

If I can't find her soon I guess I'll look for other marks or just continue with the story.

I think you might find the petitioner in the Giza plains in the most southern save point, all by itself. Good to hear you got past that,

For the golden amulets, you can get them at the moogle shop in Eruyt village after taking care of the following boss listed in the spoiler.

I just took care of the boss after meeting up with one of Fran's relatives.

LOL BOSS FIGHT:
Tiamat was pretty easy. He only pissed me off right in the beginning where he casted disable, and it made Basch useless for about 1 minute. I wanted to go in there and rip him up with a chain of level 3 quickenings, but that got stalled somewhat. After a while, Basch came back and ripped up with his level 3 quick. I got a chain of about 9, followed by Arc Raid or something as the concurrence. Tiamat down to like 1% health. WIN

Basically everyone but Vaan has level 3 quicks at this moment, he has only level 2 but getting close to 3. I got the level 2 element spells (fira, thundara, blizzarda), and I have the haste spell, but don't have the license for it yet =/

For quite some time already, I have had my three active members always have the gambit for Esuna, Cure, Haste, Protect, and Regen all at the same time. Sure it drains a lot of MP, but as long as you’re continually fighting and have the 4 important MP augmentations, then running out of MP really isn’t a problem. Haste, Protect, and Regen are the only constant ones that need recharging after time. So basically I’m happy my party can take care of themselves.

Simo, sorry about your sitiuation, hope you the best in those difficult times.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

She's in the Nomad Village during the Dry weather. It took me a bit before I realized it myself.

I went ahead and hunted down 1 rank 1 mark and 2 rank II marks, the Wyrm Lord, the Croakodile (I love this pun!) and the giant Slaven at the Shred that I will never be able to spell without looking at a guide.

I dunno, but all those marks were damn easy. Are they just naturally easy or am I just overlevelled? Everyone's at level 24 now, except for Penelo of course. Magick works wonders against the marks (aero for that Slaven, fire for the Croakodile and Blizzard for the Wyrm Lord).

I did a 113 chain on my way to the Wyrm Lord, (and uncovered 100% of that Nam-Sandsea while I was at it) and got so much crap that I sold all my hard earned money on awesome weapons at Jahara. I was broke before so I never bought anything then :(

Vaan got his third quickening too, and everyone now as more Swiftness and HP+. Whooo!! I even saw a HP 500+ that I need to save up LP for, and I got the Golden Armlet just now. Yay!

P.S. Tiamat is a she.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
