Nope, was it leaked? I'm currently in Japan so i don't have the best access to downloadin so i'm generally in the dark about stuff like this. Although, i have this album pre-ordered and ready to ship when it's released on the 7th.

I was referring to the cover art. As for the title, well... it's Therion. Coming from anyone else I might agree, but bizarre occult mysticism has been their trademark for a while.

Though I have to admit that I've somewhat lost interest in them after Deggial, which was a good Album, but a little too heavy on the orchestra and too light on the metal for my taste.
You should check out Lemuria/Sirius B, then.

Bit of background info on Gothic Kaballah for anyone who's not heard the specifics...

There are going to be quite a few guest singers on it. First one is Mats Leven who was the more rocky singer on Lemuria and Sirius B. Second, they've got in Snowy Shaw, who's handling some death metal growls. Maybe some clean vox too, I dunno. And apparently they've also got two female guest vocalists. Snowy and Mats will be touring with the band, don't know about the girls.

I've listened to United in Regret once so far. It was good, but I'll need to give it a few more listens to decide what I really think of it.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The last few day's i've only been listening to Arsis's new album and I have to say that it so far it is an amazing record and probably the best metal album released since well their last album in 2004. They are the hottest band around these days IMO.

It is musically tighter then there last releases which seemed to be impossible as the interlacing and synching of the guitar and drums is amazing. It also seems that James has improved on his technical abilitys and busts out far more memorable and WTF did he just do that solos then he did in " Celebration of Guilt ".

Even when they bust out the more melodramatic parts like in " I Speak through Shadows " it still comes off amazing and not like the rehased crap most bands sound like. Also what they did with alice coopers " roses on white lace " they do the same on this album with Depeche modes " The things you said" by making a cover song that outdoes the original by leaps and bounds.

It's definetely on par with Celebration of Guilt, if not better. I definetely recommend everyone check out this album.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

While I'm not as into Arsis as Iwata, I have to agree that it's a great record.

Also, thanks for that Otyg demo you posted a while back. I've been listening to it non-stop.

Only Arsis song I've heard was "A Diamond for Disease", which was pretty rocking but not as memorable as people were making them out to be.

You need to check out their albums, that is where they kick ass. " A diamond for Disease" isn't that great as it was made for a ballet so it comes off monotonous and boring.

Although there two albums " A celebration of guilt " And " United In Regret " are two of the best metal albums made in the past 10-15 years, seriously.

There one of those metal bands were you get the full impact of how sheerly awesome they are by listening to them over and over and the album in it's entirety. They aren't an " individual song band " like so many metal bands

I seem to be in the minority regarding United in Regret. A lot of people are saying great things about it, but so far I prefer their first two releases.

I just got Amon Amarth's The Crusher, it's pretty amazing. I'm not normally a fan of pure death metal (I'm more of a fan of bands along the line of Haggard) but this is really good stuff.

Double Post:
http://www.tvangeste.com/english.html

Tvangeste has their entire Firestorm album released 100% free. Technically, its decent quality, which is more than enough for black metal files. The music is absolutely incredible. Best symphonic black metal I've ever heard. They did this album along with the Baltic Symphony Orchestra.

I wouldn't say that Amon Amarth are pure death metal, more like melodic death metal but I enjoy them quite a bit. One great band that has very simple riffs yet rock hard.

k; downloaded. I've not listened to much yet, but what I've heard is pretty impressive so far - Only thing that annoys me is the vocals. Seriously, some of the time they sound like they're being done by an incredibly whiny woman.

Otherwise kickass. Thanks, sir.

I finally got around to listening to that Slavland. Holy jumbled production, Batman! I think it'd be good if it didn't sound so... crudely tincan. I think that's a good example of a bad sound quality/production ruining the music.

lol no problem, they were actually my first metal band, and what got me into the genre in the first place.

and hey, you can't complain too much, it's free

actually their was only one part of the vocals that bothered me when i first started listening to them. for example if you listen to "tears will wash the blood from my sword" during end of the choral section at the beginning of the song, there is a male vocalist who sounds almost flat, and kind of like he's talking instead of singing...ive actually kind of grown to like the effect.

i still don't like it when the woman is talking, as you said, she sounds whiny & stupid, but her singing ive always liked

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I have some Rush albums... I haven't listened to them yet. Maybe I should start listening to them now. The songs on my HD are all starting to sound old, so I'm out here on the internet looking for ne stuff (again).

I'm waiting for niki to tell me what band to listen to.

Yeah, the sound is really ugly and almost sounds like badly compressed mp3s at times, but hey, I think some moments are still really powerful.

Also Vemp errr ... I really don't listen to much new metal these days, and I think you know all I like already. =/

And I don't like Rush, nor Amon Amarth...

Heh, yeah I know. I haven't listened to Rush yet so I don't know (but Lent warned me that it's too progressive rock that I won't like it), and downloaded that 2006 Amon Amarth album. Can't say I like it, can't say I hate it. It kind lacked the "ooomph" factor, if you know what I mean.
