You don't. The tin itself holds the discs. You won't be getting the normal version inside it.

Good, then I don't have to worry about getting any glowing crotches whenever I play the game. ^__^~!

So I went to EB-games today to put more money down towards the LE version of the game. While there, I figured might as well reserve the LE guide. (Yes, I know there's always gamefaqs, but to me, they're almost like art books. Especially considering that this one is gonna come with extra content being LE as well and all.) Anyway, the store clerk swore up and down to me that there's only going to be ONE definitive version of the guide...

I'm hoping this was just a case of EBgames employees being their usual uninformed selves...

I guess it's just the usual because even their website show the limited editon

http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=831904

(there's still no cover or any news about it thought)

I find it weird that we still don't know anything about this limited editon when it's suppose to be release in about a month ...

Yeah. That's what stopped me from totally brushing off what the employee had to say in the first place. The fact that the contents haven't been discussed at all is kind of suspicious.

Although I doubt BradyGames would stoop so low on such a high profile title, it'd seriously suck if the LE guide was actually a normal guide with an extra "walkthrough" section added in specifically for the additional content in the LE version of the game to "help" you navigate the extra content menue or some crap like that. I know that sounds very stupid, but I've seen official E3 attending and connecting your Dreamcast online "strategy guides" before, so I don't completely put it past them.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've been trying to talk to various EB game employees if they have any news of the LE guide, and all of them say "oh no new news on that yet, sorry".
"Can I at least preorder?"

"Sorry don't have a SKU for that!"

I work at Gamestop, and we definitely have a sku for it since you can preorder from us. It's $29.99.

Also we got some of the CE cases in today to use as a display. The case is really nice. A lot nicer when you see it in person.

Amen, this game sounds pretty solid from all the reviews surrounding it (especially Famitsu's). The bad part is this game looks to be overshadowed by FFXIII the way FFIX was largely forgotten when FFX rolled around.

God, I'm such a nerd. I actually wrote out a "check list" of stuff to do prior to the release of the game and on release day.

Such things include:

1) Call in vacation time for November 1,2,3, and 6th from work.
2) Make sure there is enough gas in car (LOL)
3) Make sure to bring $100 cash, just incase my Visa decides to fuck up that day.
4) BRING THE FUCKING PREORDER RECEIPT
5) Record the FFXII OST on cassette tape (my car doesn't have CD player, yeah it sucks).

53 more days~~~.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Don't feel bad, I made a checklist of my own.

1. Finish unfinished FF games (Tactics Advance, Dawn of Souls, FFIV GBA).

2. Brush up on Matsuno's previous games (Vagrant Story, FF Tactics, Tactics Ogre).

3. Prepare a kickass Avatar and Sig.

4. Watch, or request, an FF compilation music video at amv.org.

5. Purchase a Playarts FFXII figure (hopefully will be available by the time the game hits).

Yeah, this is the big one.

4) BRING THE FUCKING PREORDER RECEIPT
Normally you don't even need the receipt. Just giving out your name and phone number is enough proof for them. Unless your store is full of assholes.

What's pretty bad is I preordered two other games, see: VP2 and Okami, for the sole purpose of seeing how the preorder system works and what I can expect come D-day. I guess I'm just that nervous. Plus I guess the feeling of preordering and being one of the first few in line is a pretty good feeling, so why not do that 3 times over with the biggest one ending with FFXII?
And some of the EB games clerks are assholes.

EB and Gamestop are the same thing now. They just kept the store names to prevent confusion and changing logos etc.

Fair enough I wouldn't know.

Slightly back on topic... I'm kind of wondering what exactly is going on between now and the end of October... Especially considering that there's already a review of the english version and the localization seems pretty solid. Squashing englishy bugs? Not sure.

Make sure you have your ID with you. I will NOT give anyone their preorder unless they have the receipt or ID, and any decent employee won't either. We've had people come in and pick up other people's preorders, then the person who made the preorder comes in and they obviously want their game. All because a co-worker didn't check the ID.

I like how I should have given my drivers license for them to see my name CORRECTLY. I mean, how hard is it to spell a name of HEBREW origin? I like how my VP2 preorder has my name spelt as "Isick". Good god. I didn't look at the receipt until I got home. The FFXII isn't as bad, but it's still a wrong spelling.

It works better if you spell it out for them, and all they should be asking for is your phone number anyway after you show the ID.

Luckily my store isn't filled with retards like yours seems to be. Plus, they know me by name already so I have no problem whatsoever. But 'eh.

How is your name spelt normally Spat? It's not hard to make spelling mistakes. =\

Have you seen the logo? It's not something you can squeeze in.

Here's something I've been wondering about; does the game have a cutscene viewer? I was under the impression that it wouldn't, but I was surprised that Xenosaga Episode III had the feature.

If you want the logo so bad, get the Collector's Edition. It's the only art on the cover, with the title over it. Real classy.

You guys whine too much. I mean, just listen to yourselves. "Whaaa, Square Enix did this, Square Enix does that". Really, it just sounds laughable. But, if you don't like this. You can get the collector's edition.
