Trackmania Sunrise - The 1k Project II

What happen when you take trackmania sunrise, choose one track, make a replay, make an other, an other and an other, up to 1000 replays?

I didn't find this video that all enjoyable to watch. It's an interesting idea, but not very entertaining. Although, the entire video reminded me of migration of salmon. For reproduction time....

You might not appreciate it as much if you're not a Trackmania fan.

Fucking ACE video though. Very cool. I had no idea it could handle that many simultaneous replays. Hah.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've never played Trackmania, but I thought that video was awesome. I love the flow as cars separated across jumps and rejoined the stream.

I like how it makes it seem to be like the cars are as a whole, fluid. Very cool effects, I enjoy!

For some reason I think this would make an excellent therapy treatment. It's hypnotic, chaotic, and just downright beautiful to look at, especially the parts where the millions (thousands [thousand lol]) of cars looked as if they were falling from the sky. Perfect music choice as well.

I've never played the game, but is it really possible to combine replay data in game so you could watch more than 1 car in action? If so, then this isn't as special as I first thought. Still, wow.

Thumbs up

I was kind of surprised when the first mass of cars split into one thousand upon the first second of the replay. It looked like some kind of amoeba-car hybrid.

One thousand replays in one sequence... it sounds time-consuming. The video definitely gets a thumbs up for effort.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'd imagine it's the kind of computer you could name "God"

(Why isn't there a Trackmania thread in Multiplayer?)

AH! That was fantastic! Definetly enjoyable only if you're a TM fan though, don't think a lot of other people would find it as enjoyable as a TM player. Now, it's obviously slown down, so I could only imagine if it were to be shown at "trackmania" speeds.

About running that many cars, well, TM pretty much runs amazingly with even the most minimalist graphical settings. I'd imagine a dual core processor with a graphics card of a 7800GT or above to handle that sort of ridiculousness.

I was speaking idiomatically.
Love it.

I thought about it today, and if somebody took the time to do that much work gathering or driving 1000 times, then they might have done that frame by frame with a program...

I've never played the game, but still found that video highly enjoyable. It had me laughing at some parts, and i don't know why exactly.
