[PC] Albatross18 (Pangya)

You can now patch Pangya to season 2. Servers are still down though.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Today's the BIG Day for Albatross18! Here is a list of all the addtions to this update:

* Coupon Giveaway - The first time a player logs in during August 3 - 16th, they're given a FREE coupon for 20 Cookies off any Cookie item.


I'm already going to probably shell out the $ to makeup for the difference in the SE-93 After Burners (cookie clubs sadly), and maybe fiddle with a dye or two.

I go by the name Rockdan on there. I'm a Junior E now, I usually play as Cecilia, but I occasionally break Scout back out. I mostly play tourneys, because I don't like sitting and waiting around. If any of you add me to your buddy list, let me know who you are/that you are from here so I am not confused.

I've played a lot of Pangya! This game is nice and I don't now jow keeps you wanting more, I think that's the first MMO that really got into me.

But I'm trying to get the client for the japanese version, because the one in my country has only season 1, and the JAP version has lots of bonus. If anyone knows where to download it ... (I've tried at the japanese site, of course, but everytime I go there it says I should came back later to get the client).

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

One of the Wii trailers now has some clips from Pangya in it. It looks just like the PC version

So its not a port, but instead the single player version of the game, compelte with storylines and the like. I fathom there will be a multi-player mode for having friend over and the sort. Looking good so far~!

So I got Arin, her outfits are kind of crappy right now, I'm hoping they either give her a swimsuit or a cute sweater in the next week or two.

The developers sure put a lot of detail into her breast physics, compared to Cecilia anyway.

Cecilia's been around forever. Arin is the newest available character. Although they are about to release a new one with season 3. Speaking of which, you can see him, a new course, new powershot technique, and a couple other things in this Teaser Season 3 Video from youtube.

I might've gone and bought Arin if more came out with her initially, i.e., some pang pants. But for now I'll stick with Cecilia, maybe buy another character, or actually try a new caddie.

I'm one of the few that got Uncle Bob. Sure, his stats really aren't that great, but there's just something fitting about a middle-aged heavy-set guy playing golf. Plus some of his animations are great.

I tried this yesterday. It was fun for a few hours, but then I got bored...
The graphics are are nice and stuff, but you kinda do the same stuff over and over again...

Also, getting Pang money is hard

Well, golf is kind of monotonous. That's just how it is.

There are a few ways to get a lot of pang: play a LOT (even last place finishes get a completion bonus of pang), win a lot of games (9- and 18- hole games on hard courses give good pang, especially if you have 4 players), buy a phoenix ball and hit pangya a lot, do a lot of good shots (eagles, albatrosses, HIOs), or try that new Battle mode.

Basically, you gotta play a bunch. ;(

There is one other thing you can do, though: If you purchase a character (like Kooh) with cookies or pang then purchase them again in a character set (like Kooh's swimsuit set), you get reimbursed the pang value of that character (Kooh is 29k). Fast way to get pang, but it'll cost ya a bit.

Luckily I am only on campus for 4 hours at the most, and at a time when everyone is usually in class or sleeping, so it's no big deal to me.

Yeah I don't know how it happened either, although I didn't get quite as much pang as I expected to get.

My laptop randomly craps out on me now, probably because I have too many tasks running in the background while I play. Or maybe it's due to having no real graphics card (just some intel onboard stuff) and too much going on in Pangya means death. It's not that much of a bother, I just liked having the portability of taking my game anywhere around the house with me incase I got called to go elsewhere.

Disappointed that Arin didn't get a cookie set, and I hope that she at least gets one on Thursday when they do the updates. Although it would have been nice to see her get a swimsuit and not be the odd player out, I guess there is always next year.

Just picked up Pangya again and got my roommate playing. I bought Kooh today, and am really close to being out of Rookie rank (ROOKIE A D:).

I'm getting tons better with tomas :D But my putting skill has suffered.

Since Silvia Cannon came out, the only course I've got a new record on is... Silvia Cannon. I'm in a slump.

I do have 55,000 pang though, and I'm not sure what to spend it on. I use Cecilia with +3 power/+3 control pants/shirt, and a power+1 shoes I think. Any new clothes with better stats for her would require me to gain a level or two. My other thoughts are switching characters, but then I noticed most of the other characters would require me to get to Junior B before I can equip anything decent too. So I've been looking at caddies, but I don't know how the salary works. Has anyone bought a caddie that can explain that to me?

The salary is the required monthly pang upkeep for them.

The initial payment (aka the huge one) covers the first month for you (yes time will go by even if you aren't using them, it's real time ) then after that you can choose to pay the salary or not. If you don't they go on vacation (more like run away from you) until you decide to cough up their salary then they are yours again for another month.

The salary payment is optional so it is not like your caddies will sap away at your income for the rest of eternity or anything.

Oh, thank god I don't have to make an initial payment if I forget the salary. That was what I was most worried about.

Now, I am wondering if I should get Brie or Titanboo. I only have 18 control, so Titanboo would just give me more power and less accuracy, but Brie would up both control and accuracy. I think Brie's the better choice.
