American Magee's "Bad Day L.A."

Interesting game: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/ba...&mode=previews I often enjoy games that have this type of humor, but I'm not sure how well this one is going to "gel." For example I don't like the graphics, but I'd have to see them in motion to know for sure...

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Looks pretty interesting. It might be more fun if there is multiplayer mode =D. That Alice game gave me creeps from fairly tale for days after I played couple hours. [C'mon... I was like 10.]

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I'm interested in this game for the single fact that it's from American McGee.

When did this guy get so big that his name gets to be in the titles of all his games? It's not even a good name.

I was speaking idiomatically.

McGee claims that it was EA's idea to slap his name in Alice's title. Which is exactly why their rusty claws extend to his projects that aren't backed by EA.

American McGee became big for having a funny name. He was the level designer for Doom or some shit, Quake maybe. Nothing that made him stand out before he darkened an already dark tale.

This game looks retarded, and it's designed according to McGee "So that anybody can play it" which means the gameplay will also be catered to the lowest common denominator of mouth breathers.

Old Man Murray's review of Alice was spot-on. It seemed that the game was only popular because, uh, it was edgy and dark, I guess. At least it had decent concept-art, whereas this project looks like trash through-and-through.

Alice wasn't really that popular. It was a good game, because it was unequaled and well ahead of its time. PC games didn't see a lot of unique design concepts and single designer influence back then.
