[PC] Battlefield 2

Thought this should be of interest to those who still play this game:

Hopefully this is true, if so make note to download the patch later today, especially if you plan on attending the next friday gathering. It includes a new map and hopefully fixes a number of bugs that have cropped up in the game.

So sorry Freelance Wolf, looks like you'll have to install another patch so soon after reinstalling the game

I can't even install 1.3 without burning/deleting more stuff first :( Either that or I have some other problems.

well I just kinda moved back to Florida so I was out of commission for about a week. Seems like things are settling down again so I can probably play this week, As long as nothing comes up.

Heh, thanks to everyone who made it for tonight's session. We hopped onto a server only to find out the people on our side sucked : / We were getting raped in every bloody round, so I forced everyone to go to another server, in which Taco had to go shortly after. Luckily for us, our side was infinitely much better than the other server, and we won all rounds in Taco's absence. Poor Taco didn't get to bask in the glory of our victories.

Oooh - I've been playing a downloaded copy of BF2 for awhile, but finally got tired of slaugtering computer after computer.

Is it worth it to get the game and play online? these are my system specs:

Athlon 64 3700+
1GB PC3200 RAM
GeForce 7600 GT
Plenty of HDD space (200GB+)

We play every Friday nights EST. If we have too few people at that time, then we call it off for next week. That usually never happens though unless people's PCs are BORKED or they're on vacation or whatnot.

I don't think it drains resources too much. I pretty much have X-Fire on every day.
