Germany - Sweden (Friendly Match)
Anyone watching this?
10 minutes into the match and Germany dominating like crazy (2-0). Jam it back in, in the dark. |
![]() Apparently we are trying out a new formation in this game (4-4-1-1), and we are also playing with what is pretty much a B-team. So hopefully we'll be abe to do better than this in the upcoming qualifications. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
It was a good game but Sweden just sucked; Germany's victory really means nothing, it was not a good test. Sweden was pretty much handicapped, but it's not like anything is working out well for them anyway. It was a friendly game, overall, I wonder if Germany can continue this trend in the qualification matches.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Even though they were handicapped, it's still an important victory for Germany, especially considering that new coach Löw's premiere couldn't have been any better. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Well they beat them in the WC, and this being a friendly isn't all too important. Germany have usually had stronger sides than Sweden throughout history anyway. It is different to play against world class opposition than a decent side. These games are just to work out strategies, find out what's wrong and whom looks promising etc. It's a confidence booster/sapper.
OK I never saw this game, I watched the England Greece friendly. I was speaking idiomatically. |
