Nope. Doesn't seem that way, unfortunately.

Found this on another message board:

And for Sunday's viewing:

I was thrilled to discover that the Street Fighter II Ryu manga & DVD boxed set includes a 23 minute long Street Fighter II anime episode called "Street Fighter II Yomigaeru Fujiwara-kyo." It was neat to see, but kind of disapointing because in it Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and E. Honda get teleported back in time to ancient China, then teleported back to modern day, and that's it. No fighting or action of any kind.
Though I'd still want to watch, for being a completist, it apparently doesn't follow the movie at all.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Hey Shin, is this movie even good?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ah, thanks for the info and clearing it up. Thought it was weird that a sequel existed and I didn't hear of it till now. Heh, and yea I'm actually interested in seeing this as well. Even if it doesn't have any fighting/action, as I'm sure there'll be some comedy elements to it.

It's beyond good Koro, it's brilliant, don't expect the best eyecandy from it, since it's kinda old. But i enjoyed it alot more than any other game-based movie, animated or not. Believe me it's at least worth buying the DVD. And to think i hate street fighter the game. !!

I was speaking idiomatically.

It's a great movie simply because the various Street Fighter characters are all represented in a well-done manner. They all act as they should based upon their storylines in the game.

It also has some great fights, such as Fei-Long vs. Ryu, Blanka vs. Zangief, and the "dramatic battle" (which I'm sure is the inspiration for the SF Alpha Dramatic Battles) of Ryu/Ken vs. M.Bison (or Vega, whichever your preference).

I for one like the animation style; it's old yes, but detailed enough to show off the distinctions of each character, though my only gripe is with Dhalsim, as he looks pretty buff in this anime for some reason. Must be a special bowl of curry he ate or something

Korosuke, you'd be doing yourself a big dis-service if you don't at least just watch the film once, as it's the best video-game/anime adaptation out there. And hey, it's only 13 bucks at Best Buy, so you can't really go wrong there.

Now that you mention it's 13 bucks at Best Buy, I might just pick up a copy there as opposed to buying one at Suncoast... Too bad Suncoast never has anything cheap. <_<

For $18 and some change, it's not too bad price wise, so I might pick it up and finally watch the subbed version. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember watching the US version with the terrible voice overs. Also, E Honda seemed a bit too friendly, but perhaps that's only with Ryu.

I wouldnt recommend buying it. I recently watched the movie. I enjoyed the movie but only because I have memories and connections with Street Fighter. A non-gamer who watches it would think it was garbage because its hard to follow. In any case, IGN's reviews are not really worth reading and the movie is fun to watch but nothing too outstanding.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Hyde, it's not like I've never played SFII ever, if that post was directed to me. Even for the unintiated, it's mainly an action oriented movie, isn't it?

I just recently got mine along with the Ah Megamisama movie, I must say this what i was expecting to see, the real voices and soundtrack that made take the long and fun road of anime more than 10 years ago.
If you haven't see it it's really worth it, a classic piece of japanese animation.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
