Red face Movies You Never Get Tired Of.

Well, I just saw The Bourne Supremacy for probably the millionth time now. It comes on movie channels, and as I channel-surf, I can't help but watch it again. The same goes for The Bourne Identity. When it made its rounds on movie channels, I'd anchor down and watch it.

Always fancied the Bourne movies due to the setting, the technology, the fights & car chases (<3), and also due to how it was shot. Plus, they do shakey-camera stuff in action scenes without losing the viewer entirely (*cough*BatmanBegins*cough*).

Black Hawk Down also fell into the same niche, although not quite to the degree of the Bourne movies.

So, do ya'll have any flicks that you really don't get tired of watching repeatedly? We all have our favorites. C'mon now.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

Here are some flicks I could watch over and over again:

1. The Shawshank Redemption: Extremely awesome movie, best movie in history in my opinion; makes you understand what hope means. Still cannot believe this one didn't win ANY academy awards at all

2. Ronin: And if only for the most awesome car chasing scenes in movie history; great actors, great story, great directing. Definitely one of the most underrated movies ever.

3. Blues Brothers: Because this is a movie with style.

Other movies would be Magnolia (because it's an awesome movie overall and the score is great), Smokie and the Bandit (because of Sherrif Buford T. Justice!!), Der Untergang (The Downfall, because it's the only good Hitler movie) and Fight Club (I watch this one everytime I had a shitty day)

Will post some more later, but those are the three that came to my mind when I read this thread.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The three Evil Dead films. I've probably seen them all about thirty or forty times, and every time I enjoy myself immensely. Hell, I've even listened to the DVD commentaries five or ten times.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh yeah, Evil Dead is quite an attention-getter as well. If you don't want to watch the whole movie, you can get some spoiler-free review in the movie Donnie Darko.

Kill Bill Vol.1 - love the style, still need to watch vol.2
Blue Brothers - classic quotable humour
Green Mile - emotionally gripping
Shawshenk Redemption - classic
Underworld
Lady Vengeance - love the gripping emotion toward the end of the film

just to name a few off the top of my head

These are such corny/shitty movies, but, I can't help but like them:

Airheads (they used to play it all the time on MTV)
Jurrassic Park
Pretty much every Disney movie--Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and the Hunchback most noticably.

Also, I like Batman Forever dispite what everyone else thinks of it. Two-Face and Riddler are the best villains ever >=0

I love Airheads. I used to watch it on TV all the time, and I finally bought it so I can watch it anytime I want to.

I have watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Hedwig And The Angry Inch at least 100 times each, and, while I don't watch them every day now, I'm still up for watching them anytime.

I've also seen Dazed and Confused and Empire Records more times than I can count, and I always watch them when I see that they are on TV or whenever I feel like putting the DVDs on.

Two trilogies: the first three Star Wars films, and Kevin Smith's "Jersey trilogy," which consists of Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy.

Quentin Tarantino's films work well for me, too, my favorites being Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.

I guess the SW movies I can watch over and over again just because I enjoy the universe it's set in so much. It's largely for that reason that I can tolerate the prequels. The Smith and Tarantino films I like largely for the dialogue and the characters, since they're not especially heavy on plot.

Kill Bill (both volumes) - I find so much to enjoy in both of these films every time I watch them.

The Fly - Cronenberg's finest, if you ask me. It's got enough freaky shit combined with some good ol' fashioned character development. Plus, the run-time is juuust right.

A Clockwork Orange - My favorite Kubrick movie. It never lets me down.

Batman Begins - The movie feels an hour shorter than it actually is. I never get tired of watching it.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - I still laugh my balls off as if it was the first time I ever saw it.

Back to the Future - One of the greatest films ever made, if you ask me.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hmmm....

Shawshank Redemption
Down Periscope
Death to Smoochy

Death to Smoochy is probably my favourite of the three because Robin Williams acts so insane, which makes the movie all the greater. Its even better in slow-mo.

The Shawshank Redemption. Great film, great acting. The sequence of Andy's escape, and the discovery of his empty cell in the morning continues to be very powerful, despite the fact that I have watched it a dozen times.

Donnie Darko. This movie has that "something intangible" that just does it for me. Where The Shawshank Redemption is a film built on hope, Donnie Darko is a film built on a distinct lack of hope {to me at least}. It's so beautifully dark and I love every minute of it. And then there are the actors who all give such wonderful performances. Holmes Osborne as the dad is just awesome. Drew Barrymore :swoon:

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Pretty much the best moron/buddy comedy in existence. So much hilarity running wild in this one.

A Lot Like Love. Ok, I admit that I am a huge Ashton Kutcher fan. It doesn't help that this is one of the most enjoyable romantic comedies that I have seen.

How ya doing, buddy?

I came in here to post the exact same thing. Harold and Kumar is such a fun movie, and it's definitely one of the better stoner comedies out there. Hell, I've watched it three times in the past few days.

Totally agree. There's a very powerful and distinct kind of atmosphere to the whole film. The setting, the colors, the way it's shot, I don't really know how to explain it.

I love the slow-motion scene with "Head Over Heels" by Tears for Fears, too. The whole soundtrack is killer, both the song selection and the original score by Michael Andrews.

A bit thrown together, but:

Jurassic Park - An all around great movie with a little bit of everything. It simply has "the magic".

The Brave Little Toaster - This one might be the most unlikely pick, but I've always loved the teamwork and friendship elements. Plus it has a dark quality to it that I've always found curious.

The Big Kahuna - Just an insightful and well acted movie. I love how everything essentially takes place in one room.

Empire Strikes Back - I probably don't need to explain this one. The best Star Wars movie and just a great movie period.

Tombstone - The only western that I truly enjoy and Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday is just amazing.

Me, Myself and Irene - I never get tired of the humor in this one. This and The Truman Show are probably my favorite Jim Carrey movies.

L.A. Confidential - This one stays interesting throughout and has a great mix of mystery and suspense.

Terminator 2 - Epic sci-fi stuff with great action and the right amount of emotional drama.

There are some other movies I could've listed, but these are the ones that came to mind first, and I should probably leave it at eight.

Nice pick. I've always found that movie creepy and intriguing. I'm still hoping to pick it up for cheap sometime.

Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

Yeah, I love this movie. It reminds me of all the fun I've had watching Looney Tunes when I was young. I watched it day after day at one point.

I never get tired of Bugs Bunny and his antics.

I rented The Brave Little Toaster numerous times when I was little. I loved it. Oh, and Tombstone is the only western I'm even willing to watch.

Though I've seen some pretty rad films listed so far, I'm sort of sad that nobody's busted out Super Troopers yet. The stupid humour in that movie just does not get old. Ever.

Chungking Express - There is something about this film that's so wonderful.
Chinese Odyssey 2002 - Funny, creative, and warm hearted. Faye Wong is great here.
Dawn of the Dead - George A. Romero put together a masterpiece. When you think of zombie, this is the film.
Prison on Fire - This movie is so good. See Chow Yun-Fat lose it. How cooler can it get?
The Killer - One of Chow Yun-Fat's best. An emotional crime/drama film.
Rambo: First Blood - Stallone's best. One man army, bunch of losers, guns, and the fight for survival.
The Thing - Right up there for one of the best horror films ever made.
Cube - Original, creative, and has that edge of your seatness to it. I love this film.
Any Star Trek film - Whatever film it is, i'll watch it and never get bored it.
The Mission - Johnnie To's film from Hong Kong. I like these kind of films.
PTU - This is what Johnnie To is all about. Fans of his will dig this.
Alien - Well, what else needs to be said about this film?
Aliens - As good as the original. Everybody has seen this, right?
Predator - Ugly monster, Arnold, memorable moments, awesome action, what else do you want?

I keep trying to find this movie for a price LESS than ten dollars, but no luck so far. I remember it being good last time I watched it, which was years ago.

My movies...

Super Mario Bros. - And no, I'm not kidding. I must be the only person to actually enjoy this film. Damned awesome. ;_;
Bad Boys I & II - Too much action & comedy. I even watched the featurettes for how-many-times afterwards.

And, really, any movie with lots of action or lots of comedy. I just can't think of any at the moment (which must mean I haven't seen too many of those).

The Goonies - My favorite movie. All around great fun.
The Road Warrior - Lord Humungus tears it up.
Die Hard - Can't get much better than Hans Gruber.
The Thing (1982) - One of my favorites, creepy as all hell, awesome setting and effects. Plus Wilford Brimley, can't go wrong there. He has diabeetus.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) - Despite reading the book I just can't get tired of this movie. I won't lie to you, I love the way the movie was represented. The minimalistic style of the guide itself, light-hearted comedy, and the awesome CG. For me at least, it really is like having your head smash with a lemon wrapped around a gold brick.
Back to the Future I~III - It might be due to my bias towards time-traveling stories. But when you hear five or more memorable catch phrases you know you'll see it again.
Spaceballs - One of the first movies I can remember and still it never grows old. I think I've watched it enough times to be able to recite a good chunk of the movie (at least all the funny scenes.)

Jam it back in, in the dark.
