Cannot get picture playing DVDs on WMP
I'm having difficulty playing some DVDs with Windows Media Player. Actually, I've basically never been able to play DVDs with WMP ever. I can't seem to get a picture at all, and basiclly all I get is the audio. I'm not too sure why it's doing this, while it works fine playing torrented anime on the hard drive. I generally use Core Media Player, but since I have the free version, it wouldn't do DVD play back unless I get the premium version after offering some $$$.
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() - What we all do best - |
Probably because WMP isn't a dvd player.
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |

For DVD playback you can use the VideoLAN client. Or xine/mplayer if you're using a unix os.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I recommend downloading and installing the Combined Community Codec Pack, and using Media Player Classic to play DVDs.

Download Media Player Classic. It's what I use and love. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
