Hello guys, I am currently sitting in the library and the weather is kick-ass. I mean, it's quite hot (around 35°C, should be something around 100-120°F, I am not good in converting temperature), but there's still a small breeze so it's not lethal weather or something like that.
This morning, I read in the newspaper that it seems to be pretty hot world-wide (well, except for those countries located below the equator of course!), even in London (which is definitely not a place where the sun shines 24/7), the temperature was around 32°C the other day. So, how's the weather in your place at the moment and do you think the entire summer will be like that (which would be kick-ass because I can go to the lake quite often then) Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Texas summers are always hot, so there really is nothing new here going on for me. It is a little bit hotter this summer than it has been for the last few summers, but in general it's still nothing we haven't experienced before.
And if it's anything like all the previous summers, it'll probably stay like this until halfway in the fall, where it will then gradually start to cool down. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
The hawaii weather in my town isn't so bad during the summer. Infact I think its great, if you can ignore the tropical rains. It rarely breaks 90°F (its mostly been in the high 70's here) but the humidity is almost always above 70%. So yeah, it feels rather hot to most people.
The desert/mountain area of the island is a different story ._. Since I am stuck at the summit most of the time the evening temperatures are hanging right around freezing. During the day the temperatures are a bit more normal, around 65°F. Though the very low humidity, sunburn inducing sun, low pressure, and the oddly cold winds makes it feel unbearable in my opinion. Ugh, its so dry. How ya doing, buddy? |
It's been about 100-105°F during the days here in Northern California, and it's been about 80°F or so during the nights.

It's boiling here. It's been about 35 degrees since the weekend and it's unbearable. I'm simply not used to England being at this temperature. Theres not a cloud in the sky and we're lucky to get a tiny breeze
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Oh, I was just about to talk about the obscenely hot weather in England.
Anyway. It's said to be 38° today. Ouch. Hmm. It's also sports day for our school, so I feel for those who are running the 1,500m. ><;; What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? By any other name, would smell as sweet.

England, like the others have said is going through a bit of a Heatwave. For some reason I'm sitting inside. I've been playing a lot of football and frisbee though the past couple of days though. The weather is marvelous.
FELIPE NO |
It's been consistently 85F with 60-70% humidity, in the Buffalo area.
This isn't abnormal for us, really, and I rather enjoy the heat. When it's warm enough to get the mail in your bare feet, that's nothing to be upset about. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Right now I'm staying in Stuttgart, and it's hotter than some of the other days. When it was raining and there were thunderstorms(last week or 2 weeks ago). I like it though.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
It's a desert right now in Holland. The current temperature is 41°C or 106°F which is really hot for a cold and rainy country. I just got back from my holiday at Turkey and expected cool weather, which really was something I missed. Right now it feels like Turkey was a total waste of money, heh

This thread will be used as evidence that humans fromthe northern hemisphere are weak, whinging dogs.
Oh, every night on the SBS news they'll have a story like "AND PEOPLE IN FRANCE/GERMANY/NEW YORK ARE DYING FROM THE EXTREME TEMPERATURES! IT HASN'T BEEN THIS HOT IN LONDON/CANADA/IRELAND SINCE LAST SUMMER" and they'll show images of people crowding the shabbiest looking beaches in the world and I laugh. Laugh heartily. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Global warming FTW!
No more cold winters! WOO HOO! More hurricanes YAY! I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I can confirm it's not nice to be working in a kitchen in this type of weather. I have no idea on numbers, I just know it's too hot
. It's a good thing after this week I get the rest of the summer off. I last came out of there, with drops of sweat occasionally literally dripping off me.I was speaking idiomatically. |
The heat seems to be normal over here, and I don't like it one bit. I just can't wait for winter to come.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
It's been really hot for the past month or so here in Hamilton; The kind of "sticky" weather in which multiple showers a day seem to be the only true refreshing remedy. We don't have air conditioning, so it's just fans. Fan's only at setting two, and it's pretty nice, so it's not uber hot yet. Step outside and it's another humid and sweaty story.

I hate hot weather. You would think that I was born somewhere that didn't get up to 110*F almost every summer, but I was. Doesn't mean I have to like it.
So, yeah. It's been the normal 98-105*F for the last couple of weeks here in Central Cali. On Monday it was 99*F at 9:00pm. That's pretty shitty. But the really annoying thing is that the humidity has been up, which isn't normal. California summers on the whole are fairly dry (compared to Texas), but lately the humdity has been getting up to the high 60s. SUCK. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
It's always hot here in Texas summers o_o Was talking to a friend the other day and she said:
"Hey. There's a heat wave going on here!" "In Texas?... Now?" "Yep!" "... Uhm... Doesn't seem like it... Maybe it's not as humid as usual." I remember Two-A-Days for Football back when I was a Sophomore in HS. 110 degrees Fahrenheit for four days straight. Water breaks every fifteen minutes. God almighty was that ever a horrendous season. Jam it back in, in the dark.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

I absolute love hot weather!! It's 30 Celcius or more. I can't tell. The hotter the better. For some reason, I have trouble feeling heat so I never notice when it's blazing hot in the house until one of my family members points it out.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The temperature here is over 100 degrees daily. I'm currently attending summer classes, and the air conditioner in my car doesn't work properly either. Fortunately it's not as troublesome as I expected since I typically try to find parking in the garage anyway.
I don't mind hot weather as long as it's not humid. Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
In Tennessee, it's between 100-110 degrees F during the hottest part of the day... It's dangerous to be working really hard outside in that kind of heat! It's hotter than it's been here in years!!! The news says that the U.S. is in the midst of a gripping heat wave, and it's obvious, at least to people around here.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Super Nasty
Here in New York the temps are about a million degrees. (Relatively) It doesn't help that the humidity level is about a thousand percent either. I guess it might be like swimming in the thick hot air. Anyway, the Air Conditioner is constantly blazing and I try not to leave my room much, in fear that I might melt.

You know, Florida isn't all that hot as people says it is. It just seems like it is because:
a. the heat is always so humid and b. it simply never gets cold; there have been several Christmases in my memory where we were wearing shorts and t-shirts. That being said, it hangs out in the mid-90s every day, but the heat isn't bothering me that much because for some strange reason, it's not that humid this summer. It feels like a very dry heat; it almost feels good. I sure would like to see snow one day, though. Well, not in July. Well, whatever. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Scotland can be well bloody cold during winter but this is one of the warmer summers I feel. Today in the news was how it was one of the hotter days. Being male I just walk around with shorts in my house. However, because of my horrible figure I usually play football with my footy top on.
I personally would love this sort of weather to continue (unless I get struck down by hay fever, another matter altogether) because I would go out to my garden skip rope/football keepy ups work up a sweat go inside chill out play games/watch tv go back outside etc. Maybe it's because I don't feel it's THAT hot here, I mean I was in Hong Kong for a few weeks at the beginning of the holiday and it was well humid there. I just love to sweat it out a bit. FELIPE NO |
South Florida here and my GOD was it hot the other day. weather.com said "feels like 92" but I think the government has control of that site. I think they lie to keep us in the dark about how hot the world is truly getting. Because I felt like a cooked ham after walking a half mile to the store and back.
