Did you watch the show Firefly before you watched Serenity? It's not a requirement, but it makes the film a lot more enjoyable. But if you did and you still didn't like it, then I don't know what to say.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, you can read up about it here.

But yeah, basically it's the show that the movie is a sequel of. It shows you how all the characters met and it just really makes more sense if you watch it before you watch Serenity.

I just got season 1 of The Shield on DVD this week, since Best Buy was selling it for only $20. This is a great show that I had planned on collecting sooner or later, so for this price I figured I would start now.

How ya doing, buddy?

Jarhead...It's a nice movie, has a good meaning, shot in a weird way, a new way that make you feel how tough military life is. It's a nice movie to be watched once at home, not more. Yet it could have been a little bit faster since it was too slow!

Aeon Flux - The Complete Animated Series - Looks quite good, and i've been meaning to pick this one up for a while now. Besides it was cheaper than the awful live-action Charlize Theron effort.

Nightwish - End Of An Era (2CD) - Been a fan of their's for a few months now, and decided that it was about time that i had this CD of their's. Not listened to it yet, but has a good collection of songs on it, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Underworld Evolution - KATE BECKINSALE. Enough said

I picked up a few things over the last few days. On Friday, I found these cheap DVDs of this show I never heard of called Starhunter. Apparently it's some kind of Canadian show or something. Wal-Mart had two volumes of this, which contains fifteen episodes (I have no idea if it's the first fifteen episodes, as they don't seem to be in order) of the series. I then found out that no volume 3 has even been released, and considering how old these releases are, may never actually be released. Oh well, they only cost $3 each, so it's noot like I'm out a lot of money.

Yesterday, I found the first volume of Futurama at Wal-Mart (I really don't go there as often as this post may imply) for $20. They had volume two there for $20 as well, but I decided to get that later.

And today, I got Season 1 of The Man Show at Best Buy for $20. This was both volumes 1 & 2 packaged together as one set, so this was a fucking steal, since each volume was priced at $30 when they first came out. They had the rest of the seasons for $20 as well, so I may have to go back and get those later.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Just won an auction for this:

Dungen - Ta Det Lugnt
"Take it Easy"
Swedish rock band, sounds promising. And I couldn't find a working torrent/download of it anywhere. Only cost $6, so I figured it would be worth it to have the real thing. Plus, when I actually buy a CD, I actually listen to it much sooner than with downloads .

A friend made me a goodbye for grad present. It was an mp3 CD containing 4 Sonata Arctica Albums, Ecliptica, Silence, Reckoning Night, and Songs of Silence. There were a number of SA singles and EPs on there too. He also included both Liquid Tension Experiment albums, but each are missing two songs. So far so good, i'm enjoying all of them.

Won my other auction, for this:

Geoff Berner - Whiskey Rabbi
Hilarious [almost] one-man band from Canada...he was the opening act for Kaizers Orchestra on their Evig Pint tour. Basically he wants to revive Jewish Klezmer music, but with his own comedic twists. He playes accordion, has a violinist, and drinks while playing. It's quite amusing, actually.

And this disc only cost about $4.51.

I bought the third season of 'The Pretender' on DVD for $15 at Best Buy. Best Buy is having a Fourth of July sale. I already have the first two seasons on DVD. I'll get the fourth season when it comes out.

Wonder Showzen the complete first season (DVD), the best television show there has ever been (close contenders: the prisoner, twin peaks, futurama, the simpsons, arrested development)

Orchestra of Bubbles (CD) techno music that doesn't suck, probably because it was largely composed by Sacha Ring aka Apparat

Justice League: Season Two - Because really, DC animation rocks. And Justice League is probably the best of the bunch.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High: Totally Awesome Edition - I really don't know why I didnt already own this. Saw it on sale at Best Buy and had to pick it up. Phoebe Cates FTW.

GoodFellas Special Editon - Amazing mobster movie. Definately one of my favourites.

Shaun of the Dead - Another one that I was surprised not to own. You've got red on you.

Went to Best Buy today and picked up the first three seasons of The Pretender for $15 each, and the Doctor Who: The Complete First Series for $66.

Never seen The Pretender, so I decided to do a little reading up on it first. It seemed interesting enough, so I decided it was worth a blind purchase of the first three seasons at that price. Even if I don't like it (which I doubt), $45 isn't out too much money, and I can probably find someone who likes it to give it to as a gift.

As for Doctor Who, I spent way too much money for it (the only TV DVD set that I've bought that has cost more than that is La Femme Nikita season 1, which was like $80), but I know it'll be worth it. I watched the first two episodes when it premiered on the Sci Fi channel a few months ago, but after that I stopped watching when I found out it was edited. I heard that the DVD release was on July 4th, so I knew I wouldn't have to wait that long to see the rest of the episodes anyway.

I may get some more seasons of Seinfeld, since Target is selling them for $20 each this week. I've already spent so much though (with tax, the total was two cents shy of $120), and I plan on buying ER season 5 next week and Curb Your Enthusiasm season 5, so I may have to pass on these.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
