XoftSpy - is this spyware?
I seriously don't know. http://www.xoftspy.com/?gclid=CNnplN...T3gIgodVH3v0w: is this program spyware? If not, can someone give me a registration code for it?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I've searched around a bit, and I've not found anything conclusive to mark it as spyware.
Google revealed this (somewhat trustworthy) review - read it here. To be perfectly honest, if it was me, I would stick to better known products like LavaSoft Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. A look around the torrent sites has revealed some moderately seeded torrents, so that gives it a plus toward the trustworthy end. If you're lazy - go ahead and try this. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Thanks, I already have Ad-Aware and other useful anti-spyware programs but this one intrigued me. Thanks again.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Could you perhaps explain what that link is to, RYU? Posting a random URL in a thread about spyware isn't a fully trustworthy act.
Tell people what they're clicking on, explain why it's relevant to the thread, okay? I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
I think what he was trying to say is that XoftSpy isn't spyware, but rather spyware removal software.
The link he provided goes to the website of the company that created XoftSpy, and basically says right on the main page what the program does. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
