Mind Reader, can't see how it works - try it
Hmm...I can usually pick these things but this one, I'm stumped. I have no idea how it knows the answer. Can anyone else figure it out?
Mind Reader Jam it back in, in the dark. |
It's because the only numbers possible are multiples of 9 up to and including 81, which if you'll notice all have the same symbol associated with them. Neat parlor trick, though.
There's nowhere I can't reach. <Mercarios> I voted for hut hut, because it's a superior track, but you gotta draw a line between having fun and going too far
|
Oh, ok. Makes sense now but it's still pretty amazing. I recommend it to everyone.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
It's not really all that amazing; it's basic manipulation of numbers.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? <Mercarios> I voted for hut hut, because it's a superior track, but you gotta draw a line between having fun and going too far

Well it's the best trick I've seen online anyway.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
This thing is ancient, and the maths is pretty obvious...
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I wasn't really that impressed with it. Once I saw all the numbers that had the same symbol as the number I had, it wasn't that hard to figure out. Meh.

I remember seeing the same trick some years ago. Rather than symbols, they directed you to a numbered column where your final number would be, and it would predict the column number instead.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |

Simple math, but fun for once.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Yeah, it's pretty easy to spot if you look at the pattern.
11-> 11 - (1 + 1) = 9 12-> 12 - (1 + 2) = 9 13-> 13 - (1 + 3) = 9 and so on.... once you see that, it's obvious why it works. How ya doing, buddy? |
It is simple math, but I'm sure most of you saying this were stumped by at it one point.
Anyways... I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
I found a flaw.
I used 10. 1 + 0 = 1. Yes, it comes up as 9, but it wasn't the symbol that was there. Also, the symbols change each time you click that globe thing. I was speaking idiomatically. |
the symbols change each time to make it seem more random. but on any one chart, all the multiples of 9 have the same symbol. well all mutiples up to 81 (you can't get a higher result when starting with a two digit number).
ye gods, i hate math. it's useful (and interesting to use with certain tricks) but just plain boring to learn. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Maybe it wasn't a flaw, but a glitch. Most amazing jew boots |
