edit: ohsnap. What codec is used on that thing? I can only get stereo sound of it in any video player, including WMP9. I can only get 5.1 if i load the thing into foobar 0.83.

Of course it's a fake. A pretty funny one though. I'd love it if melee attacks actually ended up that gay looking and they put in a super kick like that. The one thing Halo games so far seem to lack is anything approaching a sense of humour.

It's been pretty quiet on the Halo 3 front for a while. Maybe they're all too busy playing Halo 2 still to get it finished (My flat-mate's clan played the Bungie team a few eeks back, lost quite badly too but apparently they're nice blokes).

I'd be surprised of X06 doesn't give us a new trailer. (Though I expect that we'll receive more than a trailer. Multiplayer info and perhaps even some behind closed doors hands on.)

They showed that on Gamer.tv a while back, my mate TIVO'd it. They do quite a good job of not really saying anything I thought. I imagine though, after so many of their announcements about H2 turned out to be bullshit, that they're gonna be a bit more tight lipped about three. Apparently Bungie are releasing sporadic pod-casts now though but I've not had a chance to listen to any yet.

Alot of those pictures look like the stuff that they originally release for the magazines when they were talking about Halo2 coming out... At least it looks like it. I'll search through my old game-enforcers and see.

It looks like Halo 2 with a facelift at this point. Its not exactly "next gen" as far as Halo standards are concerned.

Looks like the game will be released in three versions. Standard, Collector's, and something called LEGENDARY EDITION.

Apparently, preordering such a beast gets you a mini helmet replica! Neato.

The LEGENDARY EDITION contains 3 bonus DVDs that include:

# Behind-the-scenes at Bungie Studios with new insights into the Halo Universe and the making of Halo 3.
# A special hi-res collection of all cinematics from Halo 1 and Halo 2 with director commentary from the Bungie Team bonus
# Community content from Red vs. Blue, This Spartan Life and Exclusive Gamer Tiles & a Theme
# Each unit will be serialized for added individuality and collectability. Not life-size.

Of course, there is no info on the Collector's Eidtion, but the LEGENDARY EDITION has these features. I assume the Collector's one will be missing a bonus DVD or 2 and won't have the helmet.

A shame the helmet isn't life size.

It's in alpha, using placeholder textures, with most of the effects disabled. It's also printed on a low-resolution sheet of paper. The real thing is going to look hundreds of times better. It's going to look at least as good as the best 360 graphics now.

I just got the new EGM, and the game doesnt look too remarkable, but like everyones saying, its not the final product.

Im really not too excited about what they showed. Just alot of extra, useless shit weapons thrown in. The new assault rifle is the only thing that interest me right now.
