Love the show, could care less about the myths, watch it for the entertainment
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
It's true that there are some really stupid myths though. The one about Chip implant / Blood donation was so dumb :eyebrow: . I can't understand why they did that in the first place... I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
This show is the sole reason why I still steal cable and I made a journal entry about this show a while back too.
![]() Also, get this through your head, guys. Adam and Jamie are NOT gay. Just because they're in San Francisco does not make them gay. I smell a Mythbusters episode where they dispel the myth that they, in fact, cornhole eachother. :/ How ya doing, buddy? |
Oh god.
There's a guy a work who looks like both Adam and Jamie. Wears a black frame glasses like Adam, and has a goatie and wears a black beret like Jamie. His face looks like Jamie too. ![]() What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
The experiment you're referring to was the same myth with the plywood builder, and they indeed did want to find out how much force was required for lift. They discovered that if there was enough wind to cause any lift it would rip the plywood right out of your hands. Their final verdict was this myth would only work if you had clamps for hands. Anyways, yeah, great show. I'm a little saddened by the amount of reruns they have flying around. I rarley see new episodes anymore. This show has basically been put into hiatus bin for me. I'll return to it some day down the road, maybe on DVD or whatever. FELIPE NO |
I don't get to watch it that often, but I rather enjoyed the episode where the guys tried to find Jimmy Hoffa. They ended up burrying a pig under their front sidewalk or some shit. Very entertaining.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Well, new episodes every Wednesday at 9 PM, which is great since I'm usually free to watch it around that time. The past episode with the exploding farmer's pants was interesting. I thought it was pretty cool how the pants just disintegrated on contact with the fire and it didn't even create a fire that would kill the farmer as the fire died as soon as the pants fully disappeared. It't loads of fun. Humor, explosions, experiments going nuts. There's not even any continuity to follow. What more could I ask for?
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Love the show it's very entertaining and has covered some great myths.
I like the myths that are more probable to happen, more than the crazy stuff that's impossible like the one about the guy standing in the washing machine who gets spun around knocks down bleach and baking soda and the dog pees in the baking soda and then it ignites. Like what the hell? But I did laugh my head off when they spun buster around in it with a freaking car motor in the washer. Some of my favorites: Paper crossbow, ceiling fan decapitation, quick sand, 360* on the swing set. How ya doing, buddy?

I love the show. I was impressed they made a rocket using materials from the civil war era.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Please tell me that you watched the one when they brought back that "Civil War Rocket" but powered it with salami.
I'm lightin' salami, man! I was speaking idiomatically. |
