What kind of DVDs do you want to burn? Video DVDs? If so, then you'll need an authoring solution as well. Nero Burning Rom will allow you to burn pre-authored DVD-Video content to disc, but it won't acutally author that content for you. NeroVision Express will do a very basic job of converting AVI files to DVD, but there are better solutions. Give us some idea what you're trying to achieve.

How ya doing, buddy?

I simply whant to make a burn an "avi" or "mpg/mpeg" file onto a CD-R (sometimes DVD-R disc when the file is larger than 700 MB) so I can be able to play it on my Playstation 2 (I can play DVDs on that, also all regions if I first use a disc called "Region X" before playing the actual DVD)

At the moment I use a CD-RW disc to experiment with, until I get the hang of it.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

  1. Playstation 2 won't read CD-RWs (I'm 98% sure)
  2. An unmodded PS2 won't read burnt cds but will read burnt Video DVDs.
  3. http://sms.ps2-scene.org/eng/index.htm That's a media player for ps2 works very well with AVIs (divx and xvid). You can make it work with the independence exploit if you have an old PS2 (no the skinny one.)
