Just found out about it right now. A DMC anime is well within the realm of possibility, considering many recent anime shows have replicated the same kind of stylish action (Trinity Blood).
As long as the animation remains pretty, this won't fail. let's forget about disgaea for now. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Might this be based on the manga? There's a story set before the third game where Dante has to save a little girl named Alice from a bunch of Wonderland-inspired demons, right? The trailer shows a little girl, so maybe it's one and the same.
