This song reminds me of the time I hit you in the face.
Basically, what songs, when you hear them, are associated in your mind with certain events in your past?
Examples: Whenever I hear Twisted by Keith Sweat, extremely rarely nowadays, I remember the first girl I ever kissed because that song was on on the car radio. Mariah Carey`s Sweet Fantasy Baby, or whatever the fuck it was called, reminds me of riding the bus in the 9th grade because that`s where I first heard it... Than, and the 500 times after that. Avril Lavigne´s Complicated always makes me think of Dala, my ex, walking through the Las Vegas Downtown area to visit me in jail 2002 and 2003. Not really my memory, since I wasn`t with her on her walk, but during the visit she always told me about this song that depressed her. Outside by Staind reminds me of Dala... She dedicated it to me a few months after we met. I was pretty shitty towards her at the time. Slow Motion by I think Usher... Fucking retarded song but it`s the first song I heard when I first went into prison and was meeting people my first day... It stuck. Ha, and every time I hear that ridiculous ALL YOUR BASE theme I think of my first week in Gamingforce, since it was huge back then. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
It doesn`t necessarily have to be a time you heard it connected to an event... It can just remind you of something. A strong connection.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Ha, for some reason the chick from Evanescence (Amy Lee or something) reminds me of Sword Serenity.
In Da Club by 50 Cent always reminds me of my brother. He would always blast the damned thing in the car December 03 and January 04... Before heading off to prison. In Da Pen. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
