So I'm guessing Zelda is coming out on the same day that the Wii is?

Both versions?

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

It's too bad they didn't unveil more about their online plans.
That WiiConnect 24 sounded kind of neat, but more or less gimmicky.
"Friends can send me a gift if my Wii is connected to teh intearnet? Uh, can't they just email it to me?"

Something I read over at Joystiq:
Quote:
Hate to inject a little bit of reality into the conversation, but Red Steel's visual quality lacks the sex and sparkle of the Sony demos yesterday -- take away the controller, and the game could run on an original Xbox or PlayStation 2. Nintendo would of course remind us that judging a game by what's displayed on screen is a mistake, but the game industry has tended to judge games visually for many years. Nintendo can't change the critical criteria overnight. They're going to have their work cut out for them on this front if gamers prove intractable in their lust for next-gen graphics.
How true.
I wonder how the masses will react to their games not looking as realistic as they do on consoles 2-3 times the price?

Thanks for the screens Grubdog.
I can only hope the music is as good as the visuals are.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Something I realized with that, too, is that the new PS3 playmote has the same functionality as the Wii-chuck. How quaint!

I'm wondering if the Wii controller will be rechargable/dockable, or if it'll run on store-bought batteries...

I figure this is the best place to put this.

Over at Joystiq (I know, I should just stop reading that site ) they've started to write off Nintendo's Wii, citing overheard conversations.

Quote:
Overheard at E3:

Gamer 1: So what do you think of Wii?

Gamer 2: I like it but I want to like it more.

This short snippet captures a sentiment that we're hearing more than just once on the show floor. There's a sense that people who are really rooting for Nintendo want to believe that this is the promised breakthrough that gamers have felt is necessary. In other words, we buy the argument that gaming must be kept fresh, but we may not be buying Nintendo's freshmaker.

Joystiq reader and contributor Darth Pixel (5 stars) concurred in his response to our post on Madden for Wii. He wrote, "You see, the gaming world is so desperate and sick of the direction gaming has taken during the past few years that every gamer and their dog hang onto any glimpse of a possibility of something different and new."
I don't know about you guys, but I agree with some of the comments posted inside the article. Like most of them are saying, people were skeptical about the DS and figured the PSP would trump it because it had better graphics.
Yet here we are today, with the DS leading the handheld market and flooded with great games, while the PSP has a handful of original stuff and the rest all ports of PS2 games gone awry.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

More than likely that system had to do with scanning the player and putting their face in the game.
Holograms and projectors are expensive, the Wii is not.

Speaking of Wii price, SEGA expects to see it sell for "under $200".
Dig it.
