I hate Daylight Savings Time so hard

In one week (March 9th), us sad sack Americans with our shitty time changing ideals have to set our clocks forward and lose an hour of sleep. FUCK!

I remember working 3rd shift for a DST switch, and it was hell. In the fall I had to work an extra hour, which meant stocking shelves and putting up with irate night owls at the grocery store I was working at the time. Then the next spring I lost an hour of work, but because I still had to put up as much stock as normal I had to rush during the last hour to keep in line with my normal nights.

Luckily I don't work nights anymore, but seeing as how Sundays are my only day to sleep in during this semester I'm really not looking forward to next week.

Who else hates this constant time switching, be it logical or not?

Seriously the whole gain one hour and lose one hour is just a shift in the division of time. The actual daylight time remains constant. And I'm quite skeptical of DST actually saving any energy.

Hopefully the governments of the world will get off their collective/retarded asses and stop mucking around with DST. It's pointless, and no one cares if it's still light out at 9pm for two weeks of the year anyway.
