It doesn't matter if you have full access to the computer. If whoever implemented your school's network knows their stuff, they would have blocked these 'distracting'/'unnecessary'/'time-wasting' services at the router level.
You'll need full access to a computer outside of your school's network to use as a proxy. How ya doing, buddy?
