Opening Ports
The computer at my school disabled the use of online programs - MSN, Steam, etc... I was wondering if there was a way to make them work? I think the internet disabled certain ports, maybe? If so, is there a program that open up specific ports? I have almost full access to the computer - however, I don't have access the router or whatever the school board is using. =/

It doesn't matter if you have full access to the computer. If whoever implemented your school's network knows their stuff, they would have blocked these 'distracting'/'unnecessary'/'time-wasting' services at the router level.
You'll need full access to a computer outside of your school's network to use as a proxy. |
Your only recourse, Seph, is to get real friendly-like with your school's network administrator. There's no way to bypass this without their help!
