lol enjoy your Windows AIDS.

One way to stop it from bothering the shit out of you (but I don't know if Automatic Updates will work again,) is this.

That's pretty much the only way to disable it without doing any hacks and such.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Do you have any infor on that fix Marv Burger, does it just turn of autoupdates.
Itried to follow it but when i right click on it and choose properties there is no security tab , is there a way of displaying one im quite confused here =S.
It definitely stops the annoying messages.

I really don't know anything else that would happen, though. If it stops auto updates, well, you can just go to Windows Update and use the wga="disable" javascript trick, or use Windiz Update in Firefox.

To get the security tab, you need to turn off Simple File Sharing, which is under Tools -> Folder Options -> View, it's at the bottom of the list of checkboxes.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Uh, you don't get any updates for Windows, pretty much. That was divulged back when the update came out.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It is.

What you're thinking of is activation.
