ok.. if you're not using simple file sharing, you can get to the administrative shares (//x.x.x.x/C$) and you'll have full access to the other hard disk!

though.. i bet your brother doesn't want you to have full access, and vice versa

haha! i keep forgetting where the backslash button is on this laptop.

anyway, you could set up usernames on each others' computers. make a username of (your main username & password) on the other person's computer as administrator and vice versa, and it won't ask for a password. my laptop and pc have their usernames / passwords set up on each other, and while i don't use the "desktop account" directly on the laptop, i can log into the laptop with the desktop account from the desktop with no hassle.
