People EVERYWHERE are gonna gloss over this, regardless. Unless there's a marketing miracle, it's gonna be just as fucked. To go on about sales on the Cube being better than the other two, is like saying dogshit is better than horseshit. RAB HAS BEEN THREADBANNED FOR TROLLING. NOT FOR HIS STATEMENT ABOUT SALES. NOT FOR EXPRESSING DISCONTENT THAT IT WON'T SHOW UP ON THE WII, BUT FOR BEING A TROLL.. Glad to get that out of the way. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
My point was that third party titles of this nature aren't exactly picked up in droves by the Wii-owning demographic. Twilight Princess is a different beast entirely, coming from a well loved series, being a launch title, and being first party. Perhaps there aren't enough similar titles on the platform to estimate exactly how well something of this nature would sell on the Wii, but I see a lot more parallels with it's theoretical Wii situation in Okami than I do in Zelda. The Cube to Wii comparison isn't quite fair either. It's not exactly the same market we're talking here. Forsety has covered this entire point already though, much more succinctly than I could have. It's not like I imagine it selling well on any console. But I don't see it doing better on Wii than on either of the other two. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Well, in your own defense, Paco. You did make that comment before it was confirmed.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
A source would be nice.
Here, lemme do your job for you. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009...d-good-evil-2/ And that paints a better picture than what you've said too. All things considered, the lack of info, the lack of anything concrete about plans that we haven't heard about in ages, this isn't exactly surprising. Lends a note of officiality to it I guess, but not much more. Still, there's nothing in there on concrete, absolute cancellation. So the glimmer of hope that you held originally that this project might actually be completed (hah, like there was any hope of that in the first place) should still shine, as this really doesn't change a lot outside of "well at least they mentioned it by name instead of letting it die off in obscurity". I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Actually, Ubisoft Montpellier is in France.
The Montreal studio is in Canada, but that's not where BG&E was made. I was speaking idiomatically. |
You can stop now, y'know. Anytime, really.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
