You people are talking abotu PS1 RPGs being the most valued games? Are you SERIOUS?

SD Gundam Dimension War (Virtual Boy) and Virtual Bowling* (Virtual Boy) are both worth SHITLOADS. Those NES competition carts are worth TONNES. The SNES Donkey Kong Country and Star Fox weekend competition packs are worth a good chunk of change. Many rare arcade PCBs are worth crazy amounts. There are extremely rare NES games worth lots too. Neo Geo stuff, as referenced above is also included. If you include stuff like Beta carts and the infamous english Mother NES cart then you've got even MORE pricey stuff.

Piccolo, VP's price has dropped sine the PSP rerelease, and it's been a while since it went for over 100 in a sensible auction or sale.

* Not Nester's funky bowling. I mean the Japanese game.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Of course, as I say that there are many copies on eBay that are sitting at 100 to 130 dollars, but there are also copies sitting at 50 to 80 bucks too, which makes more sense.

I think right now it's a little high because of VP2 being right around the corner. Shouldn't be too hard to wait a bit for it to go down again. I know I used to see copies going for 60 to 90 all the time. And that was, what? A couple months back when I was last checking?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Cept that I've seen some games go for over a thousand dollars on eBay. Some of the ones I listed, for example. PDS has never hit that.

Edit:
See?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

With prices like that, I really should just start buying up any PAL games that look like they might be even remotely popular and turn around and sell them for profit. LTTP setting someone back THAT MUCH? Wow.

We've already debunked in this thread already that RS isn't that valuable compared to some other games there, New Zealand.

One of the guys that did the ROM dump for it supposedly paid about $400 for the copy, and is the sole reason why we even have a ROM for it.
Wow, you got that whole story wrong. The carts you see on eBay are fakes. ROMs dumped onto blank carts.

The story, according to starman.net:

Quote:
Nintendo translated the game to English, but never released the game. In 1998, a group of ROM translators discovered that Nintendo had auctioned off a prototype of the EarthBound 0 cartridge. They contacted the individual who had acquired the game, and made an agreement to borrow the game for a few hundred dollars so they could dump the cartridge to a ROM file. That is how we are able to play EarthBound 0 now.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Yeah, I'm sorry that my post came off sounding al ittle harsh and angry. My bad there.

But yeah, charging a couple hundred bucks just to BORROW it is ridiculous. It's a shame that the fake carts sell for such large amounts of cash too.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
