I'm liking the US Office more and more as the show progresses. Given this, though, I still have to admit I like the original BBC version a bit more. As I had said in the other thread, the US version seems to be more "in your face" comedy, playing to an American audience. I don't say this with any pleasure, but it seems to be the case. On the original, the comedy seemed much more... "real". I could definitely see some of the situations arising that were played out on the show. The jokes and comedic situations felt a good deal more subtle, and that only added to the hilarity of the situation. And no one,
no one, can live up to David Brent. Not even Michael Scott.
