I wonder if they decided to go this route instead of the movie sequel route. There was an article going around sometime last year that was Mel Brooks had wrote a sequel to Spaceballs to counter the Episode III movie.
Guess they went the safe (and cop out heh) way by making an animated series. Which reminds me, I need to try and get my hands on the Animated Adventures of Bob and Doug McKenzie Jam it back in, in the dark.
