 You know, all these years playing Resident Evil, the ONLY black zombie I can recall is some cop from RE2. He wasn't random either; he was humanized and played an important (albeit minor) role in the story. Having the new RE games in different locations is supposed to provoke sympathy on the player's part I think; having a corporation or some evil entity controlling an entire population is certainly a gut-wrenching premise for a story. This woman has to understand that the zombies being black in this game is merely to change things up and make things accurate (wouldn't make sense for whites to be parading around, unless it was South Africa or something), and not a hate crime just because there's VIOLENCE HAPPENING TO A BLACK PERSON HEAVEN FORBID. =O Oh well. Dirt like this only makes these games fly off the shelves faster. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |

Maybe black people are four times more receptive to the T-virus. They sure look a lot smarter than the white trash zombies from your daddy's Resident Evil game of yore.

Wonder if anyone would be complaining if we were still in the age of pixels and sprites. Is it only offensive because games are so life-like these days?
Also, I wonder, can the T-virus be spread through sex? Chris Redfield might be fucked (and by fucked I of course mean outnumbered, although maybe...plot device!). This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
