Make an image of your hardrive using Acronis or Norton Ghost so if anything goes wrong you can instantly restore everything back to how it was.
It is fairly simple pop in Vista CD, reformat/change partitions, and install. If you have a Sata hardrive you may need a driver. Once in windows install all your drivers and software. You can then use something like Black Viper's Web Site to tweak windows to run faster. Most amazing jew boots
