I've been using Avast! for the past year or so and had no problems with it. The likes of Norton and McAfee tend to be resource whores so I'd stay well clear of those two. |
I second Avast, it uses very little resources, updates itself like 3 times a day and is very good at stoping things installing onto your system including spyware, its totally non-intrusive and simple to use too.
AVG I found was slower, used more resources and didn't detect as many things.
Norton just don't go there switiching over was the best thing ever,
Jam it back in, in the dark.
