Yeah, a similar thing just started happening to me while playing Ace Combat 5 the other day. It's kinda frustrating since I never throw my controllers or do any of that kind of stuff to it. =\

I have found that taking the controller apart and reseating all of the buttons can help issues like this out, since my one friend busted his X button and I was able to fix it that way (the sensor thing was off-centered, so it couldn't feel the button press).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

All you need to take your controller apart is a Phillips screwdriver (the ones that look like a plus).

There's nowhere I can't reach.
