Ripping .cda files?

I searched cda on the forums and didn't get anything helpful, and I couldn't find any freeware programs out there that didn't look like they'd give my computer AIDS upon installation, so I thought I'd make a thread asking.

I've got a CD that has .cda files and when I play them on my computer it makes my PC lag pretty badly. So, I'd like to rip them onto it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it done. I have an ancient version of EAC installed, but it doesn't even recognize that it's an audio CD.

How ya doing, buddy?

I figured out the problem. For some reason EAC wasn't recognizing my actual DVDRW drive and was instead looking at the one emulated by Alcohol.

I feel smart.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
