Ripping .cda files?
I searched cda on the forums and didn't get anything helpful, and I couldn't find any freeware programs out there that didn't look like they'd give my computer AIDS upon installation, so I thought I'd make a thread asking.
I've got a CD that has .cda files and when I play them on my computer it makes my PC lag pretty badly. So, I'd like to rip them onto it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it done. I have an ancient version of EAC installed, but it doesn't even recognize that it's an audio CD. |
why EAC can't recognize them??there many programs can rip them like Windows Media Player,RealPlayer,JetAudio,Winamp..etc
|
Reaver, maybe your CD has some wonky copyright protection software. Update to the latest version of EAC, and then be sure to hold down "Shift" when inserting the CD into the drive.

I figured out the problem. For some reason EAC wasn't recognizing my actual DVDRW drive and was instead looking at the one emulated by Alcohol.
I feel smart. :( |
