From what I understand, many people don't like Shakespeare because they have difficulty understanding Old English. A lot of effort goes into trying to understand the text so they don't pay much attention to the story and other elements of the story. I fall in this category too. I just knew the general story but if you focused more on the elements and the way the story is told then it's more enjoyable. This show is like a fresh start so give it a try. Btw, there's no Old English.

Not to be a dick, but Shakespeare wrote in modern English (though he won't melt with you). Old English would be stuff like Beowulf, which is pretty incomprehensible to anyone that isn't trained in it.
