I get bored often. And sometimes I'll say things to myself over and over to see how I pronounce them. In spatula's case, I say "SPAH-chuh-luh." The chuh and luh kinda melt together to make a chluh sound, but not quite. *shrug* This reminds me of the car-uh-mel and car-mowl debate
