the game looks awsome but I am a little concerned about the frame rate in the trailer, hopefully it will all be ironed out by the games launch. Mario Galaxy looks amazing (pseudo-next gen look with lots of multi texturing) and runs at a solid framerate, so there is no reason why no more heros shouldn't run at a high frame rate also, especially with its simplified graphical style.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Well I am hoping that the video is early and that they are adding more detail while smoothing the framerate because I know Wii can run what I am currently seeing (lanscapes with no textues what-so-ever, and little going on) at 60fps, granted the programmers know what they are doing. Killer 7 was good and it was well programed so I expect this one to turn out to be just as solid in the end.
In comparison Sonic and Mario Galaxy booth look better and run better for now. I reference only these two games because they are the only two games I currently consider true Wii games. Till companies stop porting PS2 and GC rippoffs at least... I can only dream ![]() but hopefully Grasshopper has some changes up their sleeve. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yea forgot about Prime 3 for a second, That one does look good but I havn't seen enough multi texturing in it. It looks really really similar to Prime 2 just with more stuff going on, maybe my opinion will change when I see more of it. The fight with Ridley was the only part I have seen that nears next gen gfx.
and SSBB has much higher quality textures and higher poly counts but it doesn't look like it ws something GC couldn't do in its later years of development. Again maybe my opinion will change when I see more finished examples of it. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
