I always carry at least two harddrives in my hand luggage when traveling via plane. One is my regular external USB-harddrive and the other one is my internal laptop harddrive that I remove from the laptop (laptop goes into the normal luggage, my flights are usually too long for the battery to last).
Never had any problems with data loss on these drives so far. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
