You only need to do one of the requirement. I unlocked all the character by doing vs Brawl in the Japanese version. When the US version comes out I'm planning to unlocking them via SSE.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

3 people online in the same room on the same Wii? Golly, that's sweet!!! ...
Via "Friends" only but that was expected and I'm sure people don't mind.
Would anyone know if the random stage select options are still in the game? The ones that were in additional rules in Melee and allowed you to turn stages off so they wouldnt show up when you selected a random stage.
And if so do the options include custom stages?
I looked around and I didn't see the option (yet). Maybe I have to unlock all stages first (just three more) to get that option. And selecting random does include custom stages.

How ya doing, buddy?

Meh, I'm not going to wait in the cold to get my copy. Heck, my copy won't arrive until a week later because I'm so cheap and order it online with free shipping. XD

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh hell yes.

Reading GoNintendo, there's a program that allows you to change the .bin files for Brawl to JPEGs. Now we can post screen shots of epic tales and pervertedness.

YouTube - Brawl US Version Voice Actor Special

Some of the english voices in Brawl. Pit and Ike are especially disappointing for me.
Terrible english voice acting is terrible.
Also some taunting.
Here's Pokemon Trainer and Sonic (amongst others) in the sound test.

YouTube - Brawl US Version Voice Actor Special Part 2
OH GAWD my ear are bleeding! I'm going to replace all the English voice (except Snake) data with the Japanese voice data when I get my hands on the US version. This is worth wasting another DL disc. @_@

How do you go about doing that?
Using Trucha Signer (might need to sign up to read article).

...and actually, I might have to replace ALL the voices since that plus the sfx are packed into one big .brsar file. I just hope the pointer aren't different or else it won't work.

Would you need a modded Wii or a Freeloader for this thing to work? I take it you would have to since you're modding the ISO.
You need to have a modded Wii. Freeloader won't boot up backups; only pressed imported disc.

...and I already have the Japanese version. I just gotten use to the voice. Don't take the wrong idea I do like other dub voice too.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Perhaps my previous post seems more of whining about the voices. As I said some are annoying and I had gotten used to the Japanese voice. I only want to replace them because I can do it and I like to have a choice like they did in Melee. I just don't get why Nintendo remove that option in Brawl where the game use a 7.4GB disc (whole data takes about 6GB) while in Melee the data fills up the entire GCN disc (1.3GB) and STILL have two languages option. */rant*

At least I'm not complaining about the English version of Mona Pizza, Mike's Song, and Ashely's Song. I like them as much as the Japanese version. They've done quite good job and I believe the reason for that is because those songs was done in a recording studio in Japan and they hire great singer for it.

Also I do agree that audio makes up 50% of the experience and Chaotic had pointed them out. This apply to every form of entertainment; not just games.

Now joking aside, why do they decided to "dub" Ike and not Marth? Now both of them can't "talk" to each other!
Ike: I only fight for my friends.
Marth: Nani?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Wow, they tried to give Lucario the same voice from the dub anime movie (won't say if it's good or bad) but I can tell you it isn't voice from the same actor because I think they couldn't hire that person (the Japanese version use the same voice actor though). If Lucario isn't talking (ie not from the movie) he makes a grunt noise that suits it. So far three episodes had aired in Japan and if you had watch it, you'll understand what I'm talking about. I bet they will use the same voice in the dub when it airs in the US in a couple of months.

Chaotic, yeah I would assume that's what Nintendo was going towards Ike and was joking aside. XP

Oh, I've seen so many of that dance video and this just tops everything else. lol

There's nowhere I can't reach.

If you want to quickly unlock characters SSE is your friend... or do this:

Setup Special Brawl with the following:
- Turn on Stamina
- Set Flower for Head
- Set Fast for Speed
- Now select one Human player that YOU like to use and set HP to 300 and one CPU player and set HP to 1.
- Now literally just keep pressing Start/+. You don't have to do anything and the match will end as soon it starts! You can use the Wiimote and walk around your house since you don't need to see what's happening... except when a new challenger comes (NOTE: Only use the Wiimote if you are comfortable fighting against the new challenger with the Wiimote or attach with the nunchuck/classic controller). lol

I said it before but I won't be getting my US copy until a week later after the release but I can still play against you guys with my Japanese copy. XD

How ya doing, buddy?

... EDIT: I just want to verify something. Doesn't some DS games already have voice chat support?
Only one and that's Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Why DP have voice chat and not other games like Brawl? */rhetorical question because we already know the answer*

Friend codes and a microphone port.

The Wii has one of the two.
The Wii have bluetooth and two USB port. I'm sure people can use/get a bluetooth or USB headset. Nintendo COULD make a headset attachment via the Wiimote.
Actually, Planet Puzzle League (and a few other DS games, I'm sure) also has voice chat support.
Huh. Never knew about it. I played PPL but never saw that option. o.o

So, with the ability to re-sign Wii ISOs, the new big thing for Brawl is swapping character models and movesets around.

FUCKING TERRIFYING.
Now you can see them in action!
YouTube - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Moveset Swapping - Part 1
YouTube - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Moveset Swapping - Part 2
YouTube - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Moveset Swapping - Part 3

LMAO @ most and horrified @ Pikachu, Peach and maybe Toon Link.

Oh, Lucario + Mario moveset = now playable! XD
Apparently Metroid Prime Hunters was the first game to feature voice chat.

I never knew that. <_<
Blah. I forgot about that too. Guess it's so long and you can only voice chat in lobby made it forgettable :/.

And what AcerBandit said about "user made stages" are custom stage sent by Nintendo (either created by Nintendo themself or by user submitting it to Nintendo). YOU CANNOT SAVE THEM! So if you like a stage you have to re-create them. But you can save custom stage sent from a friend.

You can save and load custom stage from the SD card when selecting a stage to brawl just what chaofan had said. You can send your custom stage to friends via Wii mail but (I'm not sure on this part) I think you need to have that person registered in the Wii address book AND their Brawl FC in order to do that. So I think it would be easier just to save your custom stage on a SD card and transferring them via PC.

I unlocked snake but I have no idea how to use his codec taunt thingy. ...
I think you need to be in his stage and crouch or something... I haven't tried it myself... >_>
... I just played this game for about 7 hours straight. That's pretty bad because my head is in pain right now. I've probably unlocked about 5 or 6 characters so far. o_o
Join the club! My cousins, my brother and I played the game about 5-6 hours each day a couple of weeks ago because it was so much fun. XD

...but yeah, take a break once in a while. o.o

Brawl with Anyone should work now regardless if you have the JP or US copy. Nintendo actually block anybody from Brawl with Anyone if your IP address isn't from Japan from the start (so this mean if you're from Europe or other country and importing the JP or US copy, you might not able to play via Brawl with Anyone yet).

As for not getting any connection, just exit and try again. It will surely connection to someone. Also if you are able to only connect to one or two people, the game MIGHT put in a CPU player but from what I had experience it doesn't happen as offen.

Anyway, I'll post my FC later and hope we can Brawl soon. XD

Probably because they refuse to update their system. I had to update before I played the game. <_<
No, it's REQUIRE to update in order to play. You can't even start the game without passing the update screen.

Here's my FC
Name: BigCN (stupid limitation of letters)
Code: 3909-6780-6875

EDIT:
Er, I've seen other people posting their FC on the Wii Friend Codes post too. Perhaps it would be easier to post FC in the wiki page from now on?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

People, spectator match are "recorded" session that's downloaded. That's why there's no lag since the match has already happen. There's no "live" spectator as it will lag the hell out of everybody.

Okay, I had added everyone so far and still online. Join in if you want to play againt me... and my brother... >_>

Heh, I haven't finish SSE yet. I'm about 60% done. I didn't continue because my cousins, my brother and I spammed Brawl matches so much that we unlock all the characters that way. XD;

Okay, I added the new FC. I got stuff to do *coughworkcough* so my brother might be online in the afternoon and we'll be online in the evening EST. XD
... Jeez, your bro is good. <_< ...
No kidding! @_@
BTW, I wasn't really paying attention to some match but my brother said you kept going after him near the end. Is that true?
... Ugh, I really gotta move my Wii so I could get a better connection. T_T
BTW I saw you were "Seeking Brawl" and I tried connecting many times only to find out an error keep popping up. You might have firewall or ports not forward properly. :/

Oh yeah, I wanted to say another thing about the connection. By now everybody notice the color on the right side of your friend roster. Those are "ping" indicate how well the connection between you and that person. There's five color, starting from best to worst, are Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, and Red. So far I've seen greens and yellows (and one blue because that person/my brother's friend have Fios... damn him). So quit your torrenting/uploading/people-stealing-your-internetz/Comcrap to help get a better connection. XP

... PT is cool to use. I rarely use Squirtle though. I'm more using Ivysaur and Charizard. More Ivysaur though. Powerful bastard he is.

Indeed.

... The only problem with Pokemon Trainer is that Squirtle keeps reminding me of Conan O'Brian's Vomiting Kermit bit, especially the way he yells his name. That, and you guys weren't kidding; PKMN Trainer sounds like he smokes 4 packs a day. Gravelliest teenager ever.
LMAO
I guess you should stay away from the dub anime too. Strange that they sound alike but are not voiced by the same person.

... In the mean time, I cannot for the LIFE of me make out my friend code. I'll give a few internets to the person who can identify it! Sim and I couldn't (then again, we're blind as bats).

Ugh, I need a new tv.
4338-2173-3088 is what it looks like to me.
Blah, that's what I thought. I forgot to add this in. This is what we've tried.

4339 2173 3088

4339 2173 3088

4338 2173 3088

I tried all the combination and none of them work. Then I tried 4339-2178-3086 and it registered. So that's your code IdleChill... hopefully...

Hmm, seems like some people are having a difficult time connecting to me or when they do, it lags. I just hope this problem is cause by the overload on Nintendo Wi-Fi but nevertheless I'll check my router setting and doing that DMZ thing... if I know what it is... >_>

As always you can join in around the afternoon and evening EST.
