Question A) Can you actually remove the power supply
Question B) If you can, are there 20 or 24 pins on the connector to the mobo
Question C) If question B is yes, can you fit a retail power supply into the Dell

If all of the above is yes, then you don't need to worry. Usually Dell will make it so that their power supply is tiny as fuck so you do have to go to them...like they did with the floppy connectors making it so that there was ONE less pin so you had to go to them to get a new one.
