alec: thats not the actual so called normal boss theme, it's more of one of the special ones, which if i'm right, often plays on minibosses as well as mimic battles (I can't exactly remember, I might be wrong here. All I know is it's not the normal boss theme).

Also: here's the information for the track list from the mini album (god the recording is distorted):

1. The Vast Field Below the Sky - This is the first out of many field themes that plays during the first 1/5 or 1/4 of the game.
2. The City Where We'll Meet Someday - First town theme. It's the origin town, so I really don't remember this theme that well =)
3. What's Changed is the Former Me (literally, Past = Yesterday) - This is actually the first dungeon, which really isn't a dungeon (more like a tutorial). The song also likes to play in random scenes.
4. When My Heart Fires Up - Main Battle theme. This song plays way too much =)
5. Lost Ruins of a Dream - The first REAL dungeon. It has a ton of rivers and is really peaceful, compared to a lot of the other dungeons.

BGM 1 - Battle Victory Theme
BGM 2 - Number 1 Above
BGM 3 - Schenario Theme, I forgot the exact one
BGM 4 - Town 3 Theme, I'm pretty sure
BGM 5 - Another Dungeon Theme
BGM 6 - Number 4 Above

Anyway, specific elements that I'll point out after playing parts of the game.

1) The music is still addicting. If you liked Kouda in WA4, you'll definitely like him in 5. He actually does have a few themes that are very similar to Naruke, but they're not in the mini soundtrack.

2) The real boss theme is WEIRD. It sounds like an Egyptian dance or something.

3) I really like the second field theme. Too bad I don't have a rip on me =(

4) You still have a ton of changer themes.

5) Every song is Western, except the rare haunted mansion themes, or something to that extent.

The soundtrack is really worth it. I forgot how cheesy Wild Arms stories are, though, and the music really helps explode that feeling.

Every time Diin says "I WANT TO BE A GOLEM HUNTER," i keep thinking about Vaan =(. And he has this huge childish cheer to add to it.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

yep, it is. By the way, a clarification on the boss theme, it actually starts playing for every boss at around the second half the game.

I'm totally amazed by the soundtrack. You have your original Wild Arms type of music, followed by some more interesting things:

Heavy Metal
Electric Guitar Melody that sounds like SSH
DDR
Trance with choral background
Piano Solo (which is still kind of normal)
Mitsuda-like theme

You know, I'm really kind of annoyed. So I was looking at the tracklist for OST 2, and I saw that my favorite track wasn't there. I was originally hoping it was in OST 1, but it wasn't in there either.

So where was it?

Well turned out it's an "un-named track" secretly attached to the end of CD 3 on OST 2... Battle with Knight Blazer the remix.
