I find it so amusing that the first people to fall for the whole "global" bit is teens (Im in my 30s). The same happened when PhD's starting hyping up Y2K as the end of the world bug. Nothing happened.
Same thing with Global this..global that. Nothing but media scare tactics designed to increase viewer ratings and..wait for it...MONEY (i.e. ad revenue). Back in the 1890s, tree huggers kept saying that by the year 2000..the world would be engulfed in 5 ft of horse manure from all the buggies. Much ado about nothing.  Jam it back in, in the dark. |
