Colored Contacts

Who here has had experience with wearing colored contact lenses? I am looking to get some for a subtle change in my appearance, but I have heard before that colored contacts may cause eye problems; however, I am unsure if they cause eye problems because (a) people get colored contacts that are not prescribed for them and are not fit correctly for their eyes or (b) the substance they use for the color is harmful to the eyes.

If anyone has had experience or is knowledgeable with colored contact lenses, I would appreciate your input on their safety. Thanks.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

So make sure you go to an optometrist and get them fitted correctly.
Yeah, I'm thinking that's the reason why people think colored contacts are bad for your eyes. I assume that most people who buy colored contacts buy them from those websites where you can just order them based on the color or buy them in stores. I want to know if that's why they've been known to be harmful or if they actually are harmful to your eyes even if you do get them fitted.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I'm not looking for a drastic change in eye color like you guys are making it seem like. Did you not read me say "subtle change?" I'm not going to get neon pink eyes or anything. But anyway, I guess I'll just ask an eye doctor about it.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
