Lindsay Lohan as Wonder Woman?

This is quite frightening. Even before the anorexia she wouldn't have been tall enough or built enough to pull off the role. Now, the suggestion is even more of a joke, unless she's gotten a heckofa lot better since the last time I saw her on anything. I don't care if it would show her versatility in acting. She's just not suited for the role. Although, off the top of my head, I can't say who is.

I don't think either Bullock or Zeta-Jones could do the role correctly. Bullock doesn't really look the part and Zeta-Jones would have that accent of hers (which I can't place, but she always has it). There was an article in Wizard a while ago with possible suggestions. I'll see if I can dig that up later.

It's been proven that children can be molded into what they will be become later on in life. If young boys are treated by their parents like a girl because the parents wanted a girl, that boy could become gay as a result, or at least rather in touch with his feminine side. Now, I don't want people twisting my words to say that "my parents treated me such-and-such and look how I turned out." Note that I said can, not will. The parents' treatment of their child/children won't necessarily affect their mentality, but it might. Parents maybe not be able to change the ideal of standard beauty, but they can affect how their child reacts to that ideal and whether the child is influenced by it or not.

Does this really even belong in the Media Centre any more?

I don't think we're trying to say that they're the only thing to influence a child. We're just saying that they are the largest influence. No, we can't blame everything on the parents, mostly because many things are beyond their control. But things like social prejudices and good manners, among other things, can be blamed on them.

More fuel for my argument that the media is trying to destroy all optimism. Stupid, good-for-nothing media, tainting our minds with thoughts of inadequacy and depressing us with information regarding the mad things of society.
