I hold to parenting. You don't read back into the Shakespearean era about daughters going off and being the town tarts just to get a rise out of their parents. This rebellion phase is often just poorly handled parenting and is a strictly modern issue >_> I mean hell. I'm the third (and last) son in my family. Not a one of us ever exactly "rebelled" against our parents. Too busy working and getting money stowed up for college and things. Or helping out our parents.
One child of the three of us turning out okay? Fluke maybe. But all three? C'mon. There are other folks I went to high school with that had big families and multiple children. They, too, never did the whole "ZOMG I HATE U" thing.
Poor parenting is a huge problem. Bear in mind that the common conception in this day and age is to drop your kid off at a nursery and let them stare at a TV all day. That hammers them with all kinds'a problems, thanks to how a kiddo's brain can be like a sponge. The whole rebellion phase is a sign of being spoiled. The child isn't getting things the way they want, they find out it won't happen, and often set off to piss off their parents as a result. Or some cockamamy thing like that.
Catherine Zeta Jones for Wonder Woman <3 She was gorgeous in Ocean's Twelve.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.
