And yet, every day gas gets more expensive. Although, here in Nova Scotia it's $.94 a litre, which isn't TOO bad I guess.

It'd still be better to look into alternative energy rather than a short term fix. After that 50 years is up, then what?
Once I have money to get a new car, it'll definitely be either a hybrid or electric or whatever. My Honda Civic does fine, it's just that I travel at least 30 miles each day, so I have to get gas at least once a week. Not bad I guess, but still.
At least it's nice to see a major gas company look into alternative fuels. Seriously I know they're a company and need money, but if they can capitalize on a new energy source, then they'll have money beyond their wildest imagination.
