I'm currently playing AC5 and in mission # 18 - FORTRESS right now. I selected our team of 3 (sup chopper) with the JAS fighter, according to one of the gamewalkthroughs on gamefaqs. One thing though, I keep running out of missiles and find myself pretty screwed for the mission. So. How do I get more ammo and restock? I'm on the easiest difficulty, perhaps that's why.

No I kept with the JAS and passed it. This time I focused more on the barracks and the tanks rather than the AA guns and sams. Possibly one of my favorite missions. 8492 was fun. Athought I got dick worth of points. RUN AWAY!

I used the F-117 for the Solitaire (21) mission where you gotta take pictures of women masterbating on the runway. Pops was pleased.

I'm actually on the Whitebird II mission now, oooh nice beam of light.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I use the special weapons... I think it was the GBU or something to take out as many of the AA and SAM as possible. I didn't bother with the other smaller subs.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Do you even need to fly above 5000 feet? I mean the explosions only look like they come up to about 1000-2000 feet. Perhaps I should experiment sometime.

I first played AC04 Christmas 2004 since it was cheap with a combo pack with Soul Caliber II. Well then, a Christmas later, I picked up AC05 with GTA: San Andreas and just finished AC05 today. If you were to beat Super Mario Bros. 3 for the first time today, yeah, then you'd be a tad late.

Actually, I did play the original AIR COMBAT at a friends house back in what, 1995?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Depends on who you talk to. I liked AC04 and 05 about equally. Althought I found some of AC05's missions more memorable. Attacking the FORTRESS in 05 seemed more fun than taking out the Stonehenge in 04, in my opinion that is. Also, the last few missions of 05 seemed more "final" than 04 taking out Megalith.

If you did say you've never played an AC game before, I suggest you take up 04 first. It just seems that 05 has more features added that enhance your experience, rather than you starting with 05 and then all assuden find out NO WINGMEN COMMANDS in 04 (which the WM really didn't do much, honestly. )

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Never said so. I like the game, but sadly, I never cared about the story much. JUST GIVE ME MY TARGET. Which is why the story of AC04 or 05 are irrelevant to me. >_>

It'd suck to have a MISSION ACCOMPLISHED and then having to manual land right after, then CRASHING, MEANING YOU FAILED MOBIUS ONE!

Yeah, thank god for the option of skipping the sequence. Landing isn't very difficult, but a lot is riding along with landings. I'd like to try to take off sometime but not pull up at the end of the runway.

I'm not too sure, I haven't tried. I don't want to get a FISSION MAILED when it said "good job" in the previous screen after taking down the last bandit. I guess I should try sometime. Timberwolf you give it a try since you're playing it now.

Also, can you "crash" when you take off? I'd love to see someone fail at taking off. Looks at self. Oh wait, I want to try sometime where right when you take off, you try to land again before the control tower says you're cleared. That'd be great.

Mobius, go here. HLJ is pretty reliable, and has decent shipping rates. You mind as well buy a few other things to make the shipping cost worth it. I've used them to get quite a few macross kits, and this puppy.

Note that the image posted is not the final product but a prototype of the model. The 01 Bugstomper, sitting with my other toys, is a beautiful thing to behold.

I hope you're good with plastic model kits, though. Just because it's from Bandai, a very respectible sci-fi toy/model company, doesn't mean it's neccessarily for little kids. I'd recommend you, at the very least, get proper paints and such from your local hobby shop. I trust you know how to build these kits with some level of competence. :3

Lovely, isn't it~

It's jacked up because of the name behind it and the license to acquire it from Namco. You rarely see actual military fighter model kits in 1/100 for that extreme high price. Even 1/72 is quite small already. I honestly like the VF-19 c/o Macross Plus more than the X-02 and the wings seem much more proportional to the fuselage than compared to the X-02.

I don't intend to turn this into an animu-macpla thread, but just for reference:

Of course the probability of this thing actually flying in fighter mode is far more remote than the X-02. The sweeped wings don't look like they would create enough lift. Oh the beauty of science fiction.

How ya doing, buddy?

Maybe something about the unrealism or impracticality of transforming jets turned me off
Honestly, that's what I don't quite like about Macross either. If the Zentradi forces didn't exist, then the whole need of changing into the Gerwalk and Battroid mode would just be gimmicky. I personally find the whole transformation process a bit too much on the fantasy side, which somewhat veers and detracts from the military likeness of the fighter mode.

Find the dimensions (specifically the length) of the Falken then just divide it by 100. If its say, 10 meters long in real life, then it'd be 0.10 meters as per 1/100 scale --> 10 cm model kit.

Scale is interpreted as the first number, 1, being the unit of the model kit, and the second number is the real dimension counterpart in ratio to the first number.

It's 780 yen for SAL shipping (surface air lift, about 2 weeks) from HLJ. HLJ is pretty trust worthy, as I've bought pretty pricey things such as the Aliens Dropship. 1600 yen (about 14$ USD) for EMS meaning you'll get it in about 5 business days, plus time to clear customs.
Honestly, I'd recommend you'd pick up other items as tajisdurmin said, as if you order bulk, then your shipping cost can go down as much as 40 percent. But since this is your first time, mind as well play it safe.

And Mobius, it's 24 cm long. Its says right on the box that it's 24 m in "real life", so just take out a ruler and measure 24 cm. Oh wait, ur dose americans!

HLJ packs their goods pretty decently with plastic foamies or the air bags sorta deal. Also, EMS has tracking, while SAL you've just got to pray to sweet Jesus that it's safe.

Quote:
That's too small of a model for that much money. :/
Like I've said, since Bandai got a license from Namco to do this, they've gotta jack the price a bit for royalties and what have you. Same with my 1/72 Macross kits from Hasegawa.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
